Siu-tin absconds just in time. Chi-kiu is taken to the police station for questioning.

Sum-yuet wants to sentimentalize the issues as she hopes to save her marriage to Ho-yin.

Sum-yuet is so upset that she hallucinates.

At Ho-yin's funeral, Yan-hiu turns up with new evidence, resulting in Mei-lam blaming Sum-yuet for causing the tragedy.

Yat-fung somehow recalls some black-clad guy entered and left Siu-tin's home, so Hei-yee pretends to be drunk and approaches that particular person to gather evidence.

Mei-lam is revived, but she suffers a stroke and is paralyzed.

Chi-kiu rushes to the scene and fearlessly saves Hei-yee.

Chi-kiu tells Hei-yee the investigation findings. The duo go to the hospital to ask Mei-lam about the falling down the stairs incident.

Chi-kiu holds the "incriminating evidence" in his hand and hopes Sum-yuet reveals the truth.

Sum-yuet goes with Siu-tin to catch Chi-kiu. While they scuffle, Chi-kiu is shot.
