S04:E08 - Waiting on a Friend

A dark day for one couple becomes a beacon of hope for others when a circus performer is declared DOA after a trapeze accident. An organ donor, her rare kidney sets off a transplant chain of donors and recipients that could save the lives of six patients. Alex, along with Shahir and newly transferred General Surgeon Jeremy Bishop, struggle to keep the chain under control as a host of complications and a few nervous patients stand in their way. In the ward, Charlie must treat the trapeze artist’s partner. But when her spirit takes to roaming the halls, beckoning her soul’s counterpoint to the other side Charlie must enlist the help of Kris to get to the bottom of a ghost unlike any he’s seen before. Meanwhile, Dana endures the advances of a chatty Poetry Professor during her first chemo session, only to find the strength to treat her illness in her own way. The circus comes to town, this week at Hope Zion.
