S08:E21 - A Speedy Recovery
At his bosses' urging, Drew agrees to do volunteer work. He brings his beloved dog, Speedy, to a hospital to cheer up a dying elderly woman, Natalie (KATHRYN JOOSTEN - "The West Wing"). When he sees how much joy Speedy brings to Natalie--and how pretty Natalie's granddaughter is--Drew lets Natalie keep him, assuming that she will die soon anyway. However, her recovery is so successful that Drew may never see his pet again. Series star DREW CAREY makes his directorial debut.
