S01:E01 - Pilot
A film critic for a New York newspaper and a soon-to-be father, Chip wants to be a better man following the loss of his best friend. He decides to live his life 100% by the Bible to find direction. His smart, pregnant wife, Leslie, while skeptical, supports him completely. Chip forms a "God Squad" with Father Gene, a Catholic priest who helps Chip translate the rules of the Bible to a modern world, and Father Gene's best friend, Rabbi Gil Ableman, who is glad to serve as a sounding board when they meet at their local bar. At Chip's newspaper, he finds support from his no-nonsense boss, Ms. Meadows, who knows Chip's self-penned story will sell newspapers, and his co-worker and friend, Vince, who is quick with a reality check. Chip wonders if he'll be able to take a page – or every page – out of the Good Book, and if the effect will be of biblical proportions.
S01:E02 - False Idols
When Father Gene and Rabbi Gil (the &ldquo,God Squad&rdquo,) point out to Chip that his addiction to his smartphone is the same as worshiping a false idol, Chip decides to stop using it, causing his wife, Leslie, and his officemates to worry about his whereabouts.
S01:E03 - Love Thy Neighbor
When Chip and Leslie have several sleepless nights due to their exceptionally loud neighbors, Chip turns to Father Gene and Rabbi Gil for guidance on loving thy neighbor.
S01:E04 - Thou Shalt Not Steal
Chip infuriates his colleagues when he decides to follow the commandment &ldquo,Thou Shalt Not Steal&rdquo, and begins returning office supplies he stole.
S01:E05 - Honor Thy Father
Chip tries to find a loophole to &ldquo,honoring thy father&rdquo, when Ron (Christopher McDonald), his overbearing dad, decides to surprise him and Leslie with a visit.
S01:E06 - Thou Shalt Not Bear False Witness
Chip gets into trouble with Leslie and his officemates when he vows to stop lying, regardless of the situation.
S01:E07 - Let Us Pray
Chip’s mother-in-law, Diana (JoBeth Williams), a scientist, spars with him about the power of prayer and religion vs. science
S01:E08 - Show Hospitality
Chip and Leslie’s patience is tested when they invite Rabbi Gil to stay with them after he discovers his wife is having an affair.
S01:E09 - Never Let Loyalty Leave You
Father Gene is jealous when he finds out that Chip attended Vince’s Baptist church to see another side of religion.
S01:E10 - Submit to Thy Husband
When Chip suggests that Leslie quit her job to stay home when the baby is born, she assumes it’s his attempt to get her to submit to him based on a Bible verse.
S01:E11 - Thou Shalt Not Covet
The &ldquo,God Squad&rdquo, warns Chip not to covet a journalism award that he and Vince are both up for.
S01:E12 - It Is Better to Give Than to Receive
Chip tries to persuade his unenthusiastic officemates to rebuild a house for charity.
S01:E13 - David and Goliath
Chip decides to take on his corporate bosses after he is fired trying to get a recently-fired Ms. Meadows re-hired.
