Twenty years have passed since the doomed Bugs 2 mission, and a strange new disease is ravaging Earth. To save his childhood friend from the peculiar malady, Akari Hizamaru enters an underground tournament only to find himself pitted against a bestially savage foe. With the Annex 1 cruising toward Mars, an eerie mood pervades the crew as they are debriefed on their role in combating the lethal A.E. Virus. Adolf, leader of Squad 5, maneuvers the escape vehicle toward the Annex 1 crash site, but is abruptly knocked off course by an unfathomable foe who sends the crew hurtling into a rocky canyon. Realization follows, as does a missile attack by an army of Martian enemies. Adolf manages to push back the demons, but not the ones inside his head.
