Blue Water High

Bridget's determination to do well starts to worry Bec and Garry. Extra laps in the pool are one thing, but when school starts, her will to achieve becomes a problem. When a team assignment is issued, Bridget jumps straight in, organising the other girls in her group and putting forward a plan of action. Her well intentioned enthusiasm is interpreted by the others as egocentric 'bossiness' and they decide not to contribute to the assignment. At the same time, Bridget isn't the only one who is having problems adjusting to Blue Water High. Guy, Charley and Adam encounter Mick and Jimmy, the class toughs. Mick and Jimmy aren't too happy sharing their locker area and, in an attempt to maintain an exclusive hold over their territory, vandalise the Solar Blue boys' lockers - an act that provokes a quick witted response from the victims. Bridget's problems, on the other hand, are not so easily resolved. She over-hears another girl complaining about her in very unflattering terms. While it's very hurtful to hear this, Bridget also recognizes that the comments about her contain a grain of truth and she comes to the realisation that life isn't ALWAYS about winning.
