Lives of Omission

Pretending to be a mute, LEUNG SIU-TONG has been an undercover for 2 years in mainland China. Highly trusted by the gang leader LAW SING, SIU-TONG comes to Hong Kong to plan a large-scale armed robbery with him. KUNG KA-PUI, Superintendent of the Criminal Intelligence Bureau (CIB), manages to stop the crime but SIU-TONG is seriously injured and his supervisor CHENG KWOK-SANG is killed during the incident.

After putting detectaphone at SIU-TONG's place secretly, MONG-CHING develops stronger bias against him. HOI-LUN informs KA-PUI that THE VIET of Four Happiness Finance Limited has been in touch with BIG FOON and KA-PUI asks all subordinates to carry out investigation. In order to meet SHIU HEI, SING-PAK deliberately refuses to repay his debts to Four Happiness Finance Limited.

With the help of SZETO HOI, KA-PUI discovers the whereabouts of THE VIET's dead body. They believe that SHIU HEI of Four Happiness Finance Limited is probably the one behind the scene. MONG-CHING and KA-PUI try to figure out if SIU-TONG has broken the law. The Organized Crime & Triad Bureau (OCTB) informs KA-PUI that a missing gun is found at the location of gunfight.

SIU-TONG asks MONG-CHING to help fighting against SHIU HEI so as to protect SING-PAK. The police go to SHIU HEI's entertainment venues to carry out investigation. SHIU HEI has no choice but to negotiate with KA-PUI. SIU-TONG is detained and he asks MONG-CHING to help taking care of his pets at home. MONG-CHING discovers SIU-TONG's photo with his ex-girlfriend and she is shocked that this girl looked like her so much.

CIB discovers that the dead girl is a prostitute controlled by Yee Fung Gang. WILLY and KWOK-BEN of Yee Fung Gang are actually fighting with each other. SING-PAK reports to SIU-TONG that he will follow CHEUNG-LUK to work in KWOK-BEN’s vice establishment. MONG-CHING tells everybody that they want somebody become an undercover in Yee Fung Gang.

CHEUNG-LUK is very angry for WILLY has snatched away part of KWOK-BEN’s business. WILLY tries to show off in front of KWOK-BEN by bringing SING-PAK to meet up with him. After taking over KWOK-BEN’s business, WILLY finds the business not working well because the service quality is not good enough.

KWAN-NAM reveals to TAT-KIU that she wants to return to her old home left by her father. KWAN-NAM and TAT-KIU want to meet KWOK-BEN but CHEUNG-LUK asks them to leave. LAP-CHING finds YOYO in a bad mood and he goes to a theme park with her. KWAN-NAM negotiates with KWOK-BEN in a restaurant.

KA-PUI invites MONG-CHING for breakfast for he wants to know about her condition after the gunfight but MONG-CHING appears to be normal. KA-PUI receives a call from his son LOK-KUN telling him that FONG-KEI is making plan for his birthday. WILLY asks SING-PAK to give drugs to the young girls so that they will agree to become prostitutes eventually.

WILLY is seriously injured and the police capture him. However, SIU-TONG fails to find SING-PAK. YOYO is arrested and she scolds LAP-CHING for being an undercover at the police station. SIU-TONG brings the new team members to Karaoke for celebration. MONG-CHING is scared by the sound of a confetti gun and SIU-TONG believes that it is the sequela of the gunfight. SIU-TONG reveals MONG-CHING’s condition to KA-PUI and KA-PUI invites MONG-CHING to hiking.

SIU-TONG brings SING-PAK to the police station and he wants SING-PAK to admit his guilt. SING-PAK calls HO-HO for help. SIU-TONG tells SING-PAK that he has revealed to others that SING-PAK is the one who hurt WILLY. SING-PAK doesn’t want HO-HO to be involved in the case so he finally agrees to follow CHIU HAK to meet up with YAT-LIT. SING-PAK is seriously beaten by YAT-LIT but he insists that he didn’t hurt WILLY and it was CHIU who has hurt WILLY.

SING-PAK knows that KWOK-BEN is very dissatisfied with him because of YAT-LIT’s arrangements so he suggests offering WILLY’s past transaction venues to KWOK-BEN. SING-PAK meets up with his former subordinate CHI-DENG who is the boss of a web-design company now. SING-PAK wants CHI-DENG to help selling drugs on the Internet.

MONG-CHING recovers eventually and she starts investigating SING-PAK’s drug selling activities with SIU-TONG. They ask TING-TIN to get in touch with the money-collector CHUN-LUNG but they find that CHUN-LUNG looks like SIU-KIT very much. CHUN-LUNG is actually the twin brother of SIU-KIT.

LOK-KUN follows CHUN-LUN secretly but he is discovered eventually. While trying to rescue LOK-KUN, KWAN-NAM falls down from a building and is injured. YAT-LIT learns that a Taiwanese wants to buy a large quantity of drugs. He therefore asks SING-PAK and KWOK-BEN to get in touch with this person. KWOK-BEN tries to please the Taiwanese CHI-YUNG in every ways and he even asks him out privately for he wants CHI-YUNG to buy drugs from him.

SIU-KIT is missing and KA-PUI worries that SING-PAK will harm him after knowing his true identity. SIU-TONG investigates SING-PAK’s apartment again and he finally finds the drugs. SING-PAK asks SIU-TONG to return the drugs to him in exchange for the life of SIU-KIT. SIU-TONG hands over the drugs to SING-PAK and he rescues SIU-KIT eventually.

While doing undercover work together, SIU-TONG declares his love to MONG-CHING but MONG-CHING wants to start a relationship after completing their duty. SIU-TONG is accused of harming a police officer and he is sent to jail. On the other hand, SING-PAK is acquitted of the crime with HO-HO’s help. MONG-CHING and all the others are both angry and sad with the result.

KWOK-BEN reports to YAT-LIT angrily that all the drugs are snatched away by SIU-TONG. YAT-LIT suggests inviting SIU-TONG to Yee Fung Gang. Both KWOK-BEN and SING-PAK are shocked. SING-PAK asks SIU-TONG out for he wants his cooperation but SIU-TONG rejects. SIU-TONG is chased by other gangsters and SING-PAK helps him to escape reluctantly.

SIU-TONG and SING-PAK inspect the coastline of North West New Territories for they want to unite the smuggling activities there for more profits. While working in KWAN-NAM’s snack bar, LOK-KUN finds that a mysterious man is watching her secretly so he takes a picture of the man and gives it to KA-PUI.

SIU-TONG finds SING-PAK in a bad mood so he accompanies him to drink. SING-PAK reveals to SIU-TONG that HO-HO had slept with YING-KUI. TANG CHUEN kidnaps TAT-KIU and he threatens KWAN-NAM to meet him. TANG CHUEN tries to kill KWAN-NAM at WING-HANG’s grave but KA-PUI arrives to threaten him with a gun.

SIU-TONG is stopped by the China police but these China police are actually the gangsters of Hunan Gang. SIU-TONG jumps into the sea to escape and he returns to Hong Kong successfully. SIU-TONG returns to the gang to apologize and he reveals that that KWOK-BEN has sold the information to Hunan Gang.
