That Buenos Aires field, home to the Winter Wipeout course - the world's toughest and silliest winter sports-based, knockabout game show arena. 10 celebrities will be taking the reindeer-drawn celebrity sleigh to the top of the Qualifier, where Amanda Byram will be waiting with a pithy put-down and a barrel of laughs. S06:E01 - Total Wipeout UK
Join Richard Hammond and Amanda Byram for a cup of cocoa by the fire and to watch 20 brave and chilly Brits take on brand spanking new Winter Wipeout. All the things you know and love about Total Wipeout with a new course of HUGE obstacles in a snowy winter wonderland setting. Will Ali the penguin keeper slip and slide his way to success on the Qualifier? Will Professor David Spiegelhalter OBE have done his sums right to get over the Big Red Balls with added travellator? Will Mark, IT manager by day, amateur wrestler by night, throw off the shackles of office life to make it past Granny’s House unscathed? The five contestants left hanging on the brutal and rather amusing Ski Lift, will take on Winter Blunderland. This sorts the wheat from the chaff… or the finalists from the non-finalists. Those last three bruised and battered heroes will tackle the Winter Wipeout Zone. Only one can return from Argentina as the inaugural Winter Wipeout Champion and get their mittens on the most coveted trophy in gameshow land.
S06:E02 - Christmas Special
It’s Christmas down on the Winter Wipeout course in Argentina! Richard Hammond and Amanda Byram fill their festive sacks with 20 brave Brits ready to take on the Winter Wipeout Christmas Qualifier, complete with Big Red Baubles and Granny’s Grotto. There’s every chance Lairy Fairy Gemma will lose her wings on the course and gorilla keeper Emily will be swinging like a chimp over the enormous Yule Logs. It’s eggnog on the face for the 12 that don’t make it to Ski Lift. Will this include Christmas tree seller Niall or Christmas pudding maker Olly? Winter Blunderland is a tense affair with only three brave souls making it to the final of all finals - The Wipeout Zone. This tinsel wrapped and fairy light adorned beastly course will decide the Christmas Winter Wipeout Champion and who gets to sleigh away with the trophy and ten thousand pounds in their stocking. Grab a mince pie for comfort and a sherry for your nerves as this thrilling Nightmare before Christmas takes you on a journey full of bangs splashes and festive crashes.

Winter Wipeout returns to your screens once more! Fronted by Richard Hammond and Amanda Byram, this week’s episode sees 20 brave Brits travel halfway across the world to take on the world’s largest obstacle course set in a world of South American snow and ice. They attempt to defy Argentine engineering, and gravity, in their bid to win ten thousand pounds and the coveted title of Winter Wipeout Champion. Can magician Darren run the travellator and cross the Big Red Balls? Will Granny decide she doesn’t want any government policy advisors knocking at her door and send Dom flying off into the mud? Or will Sophia the ‘Professional Apple’ from Cornwall beat them all to it and make it through to the Wipeout Zone without getting juiced? S06:E04 - Episode 4
Welcome back to Winter Wipeout! Richard Hammond and co-host Amanda Byram actively encourage twenty foolhardy Brits to attempt a wintery obstacle course that’s so preposterously icy, outrageously snowy and nonsensically slippery that only the hope of winning a rather cool ten thousand pounds keeps them warm. Today’s courageous band of volunteers include a former world class athlete intent on making a comeback, a bin man with big ideas and a kamikaze housewife who literally launches herself at the Big Red Balls, Granny’s House and the Ski Lift. Only three can progress to the Winter Wipeout Zone where in the final moments of the nail biting finish there are just five seconds between the winner and the runner up. It’s a close run thing for the title this week with one finalist proving that the Impossible Snowflakes might actually be possible.
S06:E05 - Episode 5
Hosted by Richard Hammond and Amanda Byram, this week’s episode of Winter Wipeout sees a whole load of brave Brits travel halfway across the world to take on the world’s largest obstacle course in a setting of Argentine snow and ice. They attempt to defy South American engineering, and gravity, in their bid to win ten thousand pounds and the Winter Wipeout trophy. The Winter Blob makes a welcome appearance to send the contestants into orbit whilst Granny’s House and the Big Red Balls attempt to send the participants flying. Twelve will make it through to Ski lift and only five of them head to Winter Blunderland. The Wipeout Zone witnesses the top three attempt to take the title and win the cash. Can Cherry Man John eat enough cherries to make it through? Can Rio the coach driver drive his way to victory or will Mica the Welsh sprint champion become the Winter Wipeout Champion? All will be revealed!
S06:E06 - Episode 6
Richard Hammond and Amanda Byram are back for another chilling episode of Winter Wipeout, all the way from the sub-zero temperatures of Argentina. Tonight, twenty brave battlers - including a gravedigger, a pet detective, and a whiskey taster will take on the wintry weirdness. They all have something in common - the wish to return home minus bruising and a cheque for £10,000. The Qualifier with added Big Red Balls and Travellator, as well as Granny’s House and Log Jam, cuts the twenty down to twelve, all of whom move on to Ski Lift. Five take on Winter Blunderland but only three contestants will survive it and become tonight’s heroes - going through to the ever so chilly Wipeout Zone. The jackpot prize of ten grand can only be awarded to one winner. For the losers, it’s a suitcase full of bruises to mark the occasion.
S06:E07 - Episode 7
Hell has frozen over! Wrap up warm because Richard Hammond and co-host Amanda Byram are back with another frosty episode of Winter Wipeout. Twenty brave Brits – including a bollard salesman, a farmer, and a comedian have volunteered for an expedition to the arctic wastelands of Argentina. There they must tackle the most absurd obstacle course on the planet in a bid to return home more than a few pounds richer. The twelve fastest contestants then must face the terrifying ordeal that is Ski Lift. Luckily, or not so luckily, the five contestants left standing on Ski Lift qualify for the next round, Winter Blunderland. They then discover the meaning of centrifugal force on the Winter Wizzy as they are spun at the speed of light (almost) and then have to complete the insane set of blockades ahead of them in order to qualify for the Winter Wipeout Zone. There is only one £10,000 cheque to be claimed and it’s served over ice - the icy challenge that is the Wipeout Zone. The fastest on the final obstacle course hobbles home, exhausted but a champion nonetheless. Dig out your mittens and let the icy challenge commence.
S06:E08 - Episode 8
Richard Hammond and co-host Amanda Byram return with new obstacles, new contestants and LOTS of falling in this episode of Winter Wipeout. The Big Red Balls with added Travelator and Granny’s House welcome a magician, a lady called Dawn French and three best mates who call themselves ‘The Don Squad’. Large Yorkshire lad Tony has lost 2 stone just to get to Argentina and compete but will he defy the laughter from his friends and make it through the Qualifier? With Yorkshire grit he can! Only the fastest twelve make it through to Ski Lift and only five plucky contenders will make it as far as Winter Blunderland. Here, two will fall at the penultimate hurdle before the intrepid finalists take on the Winter Wipeout Zone. Prepare for the most exciting final Winter Wipeout has ever seen as records are smashed in this round. Get your mittens on, cocoa at the ready and grab those cushions to hide behind. It’s a rollercoaster ride to the trophy and ten thousand pounds this week!.
S06:E09 - Episode 9
Winter Wipeout reaches a suitably dramatic finale this week with Winter Wipeout: The Final. And when we say dramatic, we mean dramatic with added snow. The finest contestants from across the series - champions and losing finalists - once again hop on the flight to South America to take on the most arduous and extraordinary snow-clad, foam-padded obstacle course on Earth. Babyface Baz and Wheely Dan renew their rivalry, Alaca-Dan the magic man once again opens his box of tricks and Suspicious Helen will be looking for clues to a faster time. In all 19 heroes and heroines will be pulling on their running shorts and bobble hats for one last go at the icy Qualifier, Argentina's least safe merry-go-round The Ski Lift, the chilly horror that is Winter Blunderland and... when darkness falls... and the driving sleet reduces visibility to zero... the Wipeout Zone. As ever, Richard Hammond is your host, wiping the ice and snow from his box of superlatives, and giggling away from the sidelines, is Amanda Byram. Who will wish they had worn leg-warmers? Who will survive without frostbite? And who will walk away with the £10,000 first prize and the ultimate accolade - Winter Wipeout Series Champion?
S06:E10 - The Snow Globes
Acting has the Oscars. Singing has the Brits. Winter Wipeout has the awards show to end all awards shows – The Snow Globes. Join Richard Hammond on the red carpet for the highlights of the series as he takes us on a wintery journey handing icy trophies out along the way, ably assisted by Amanda Byram. The ‘Numb and Number’ award will go to the person who let ‘brain freeze’ affect their performance, the ‘Shackleton Award’ will go to the contestant who battled against adversity to defeat the course against all odds and the ‘Luckily My Nose Got in the Way’ will go to some of the best face plants of the series. Those prizes amongst many others will be handed out tonight in what surely is the highlight of the TV schedules for 2012. Crack open the chilled bubbly, raise a glass to the award winners but remember that each and every contestant that appeared in the series was a winner because they made us giggle!

S06:E12 - Celebrity Special 2
The celebrity circus skis in to town as Winter Wipeout once again challenges some of the nation's most famous faces to tackle the world-renowned, terrifying and unnecessarily slippy obstacle course. Quite a lot of the famous faces said they were busy and/or washing their hair, but the stellar cast that did make the journey to Buenos Aires included TV host Terry Christian, model Sophie Anderton and footballing legend Peter Shilton. Their aim is to keep their dignity, bag a big fat cheque for the charity of their choice. but most of all avoid being punched in the face at Granny's House. As ever, looking on with a look pity, knee-deep in the snowdrifts, with a giggle that could melt a snowman's heart, is Amanda Byram. Providing insight, wit and inaccurate commentary is host Richard Hammond. Who will be the fastest on the Qualifier? Who will master the Ski Lift? Who will successfully navigate Winter Blunderland and who will tame the icy hell that is the Winter Wipeout Zone, to be crowned Celebrity Champion. Here's a clue - it probably isn't Terry Christian.
