The Dog Rescuers
Season 3 Episode 14 - Episode 14
Alan Davies returns for what’s set to be an even bigger and better third series of The Dog Rescuers. In Manchester, Inspector Vickie McDonald attends one of the hardest cases of her career. With the help of the police, she finds and catches 14 feral dogs that are aggressive and fighting. We catch-up with jack Russell cross Snowy, one of the dogs rescued by Vickie during ‘Dogs on the Run’. We catch up with terrier cross Lady, the last and most wild dog to be caged by Vickie on the day of ‘Dogs on the Run’. Find out what her new hobby is that is proving to the world just how far she has come since her days cooped up fighting. We follow prospective owner Claire on her pursuit to find a dog from Bath Cats and Dogs Home. This is a feature designed to educate viewers on how to adopt a dog from rehoming centres. We meet best friends Haatchi and Owen. Haatchi is a large Anatolian Shepherd who lost his leg after being hit by a train. Owen is a 9-year-old boy with Schwartz-Jampel syndrome, which causes him constant muscle pain. The two have struck an incredible friendship, which we follow for a day. We catch-up with Amber, a staffie rescued earlier in series 3, and her owner Levi. Levi takes Amber to a local agility training centre in Colchester to harness and develop Amber’s natural talent of jumping over logs.
