Inspector Herchy Boal becomes surrogate mother to adorable puppies that are less than a week old. Her workload gives her limited time with them so she passes them onto professional puppy fosterer Bev Taft. Follow their progress with Herchy as they find new homes. Inspector Justin Stubbs encounters one of the most visually shocking cases of his career when an injured stray dog comes into his care. Inspector Kate Fletcher revisits a dog she rescued from series 2 and is close to her heart. Remember Fleur, a German shepherd cross on the brink of starvation? In Watford, Inspector Steph Law visits a house where the owner is struggling to cope with his older dog Ted. Taken to the vets, it becomes very clear that he has been neglected for a long time, but will this flea-ridden fox terrier be able to recover and find a new home? Inspector Herchy Boal removes a pregnant staffie from an owner that is moving and can’t take on a new litter of puppies. Comfortable in her new makeshift maternity ward, young dog Shylo adapts very quickly to motherhood. Celebrity Chef Lesley Water is on a cooking crusade at Bath and with three discerning judges, her culinary skills are put to the test to devise some delicious, yet nutritious treats for these charming chaps. On Halloween 2014 a call comes in to the RSPCA’s cruelty hotline about a puppy that had been abandoned in a crisp box. It was a very wicked trick, and certainly no treat for Tiny Poppet, a seven-week-old West Higland Terrior who was rescued by Chief Inspector Matt Gough. Will she get the treat she deserves and find a new home?

His owners abandoned him leaving him with no food or water. Will Anthony be able to get into the house and rescue him in time? We find out what its like living with a deaf dog. Last year, Lady an American Bulldog, was rescued by Inspector Kate Fletcher and she has been searching for the right home since. We catch up with her to see if she has finally been granted her happy ever after. Having been rescued by inspector Scott Vanes from a rubbish tip, Rescue dog Tyson has moved on to bigger and better things. We follow him as he tries his hand at dancing with the help of Britain’s Got Talent Winners Ashley and Pudsey. With only weeks in his new job, rookie inspector Callum Issit finds a litter of puppies in a flat full of clutter. Will these adorable pups get a clean bill of health from the vets? In August 2014, Inspector Anthony Joynes relives one of the most distressing cases of his career.

In Essex, Inspector Matt Gough receives a call about a little terrier called Edie who is trapped and terrified… will the RSPCA and fire brigade be able to rescue her? Three-legged Fleur is still living life to the full and running cross-country with her hero Inspector Herchy Boal. Duster the terrier is rushed into hospital with a severely broken leg… can the vets at put her back together again? In East London, Inspector Clare Dew receives a report about a dog that has been abandoned in a locked, seemingly empty house. Last year, Inspector Graeme Petty was called out to a house in Scunthorpe where, hidden amongst the disgusting conditions, were two very dirty little shitzus. We are catching up with Olaf, one of them, in his new home. And justice is sought for a shocking case of abuse.
S03:E05 - Episode 5

In Merseyside, Anthony Joynes rescues a submissive springer spaniel that has been cooped up in a house for too long. How will this emotionally scarred 2-year-old cope with the outside would? Inspector Herchy Boal returns to a house full of huskies where the owners are struggling to cope with 18 puppies and they all have a curious itch. The RSPCA’s latest batch of recruits are preparing to become the next generation of dog rescuers and we see trainee inspector Stephanie Baines get put through her paces. In North London, Inspector Becky Bedson makes a devastating discovery that will stay with her for the rest of her life. And we meet the men who risked their lives to rescue dogs from a fiery death at Manchester Dogs Home.
S03:E06 - Episode 6

Inspector Nick Wheelhouse has a tough choice to make when he gets a call about a 2-year-old westie with such a terrible skin condition he’s left with barely a hair on his body. Proof that persistence pays, when an underweight Bull Mastiff cross is finally rescued by Inspector Anthony Pulfer. A rescued German shepherd is taken on a watery adventure to build up muscle and strength. Get ready for some serious doggy paddle in a pool with a difference. Last spring, Inspector Anthony Joynes rescued four bulldogs from what he believed to be a small-scale puppy farm. We catch up with Lola, one of the bulldogs, to see how she is getting on.
S03:E07 - Episode 7
Alan Davies returns for what’s set to be an even bigger and better third series of The Dog Rescuers. In Bury, Inspector Jason Bowles is shocked to discover two desperately malnourished mastiffs close to starvation and living in a ramshackle shelter. In Derby, it’s a close shave for two very hairy Lhasa Appsos. Its essential dogs learn the basics of how to behave in the human world. But training a dog can also teach the trainer a thing or two as well. Local youth support services come together with the RSPCA to create Paws for Change. Will these disadvantaged young people gain their dogs trust and make the grade? And we catch up with Cassie the Staffie rescued from a drugs den by Inspector Kate Fletcher.
S03:E08 - Episode 8
In North London, Inspector Natalie Bartle is following up on a job about a skinny Shar Pei cross with an eye infection. Until Natalie can get a proper look at the dog its difficult to make a judgement call. Inspector Sandy Powlowski checks in on a jack Russell that needs his owners to clean up their act. A runaway husky gets checked over by Inspector Kate Fletcher. Will his microchip be up to date so he can be safely returned home? And the heart warming tale of a Labrador that’s gone from a life of grime to making waves.
S03:E09 - Episode 9
An elderly terrier is found outside alone and shaking. Can inspector Lauren Bailey help? Earlier in the year, Inspector Anthony Joynes rescued Marley, a spaniel that had been kept in a house all of his life. After just a short few months, will Marley prove that dogs can overcome their shyness with the right sort of help? We meet Dave, one of the 9 abandoned dogs that hit the headlines after they were found wondering the streets in Winchester. Inspector Herchy Boal rescues four very hungry puppies from a home unable to cope. And is his bark worse than his bite? Inspector Becky Bedford gets up close and personal to a Rottweiler with a nasty eye infection.
S03:E10 - Episode 10
Alan Davies returns for what’s set to be an even bigger and better third series of The Dog Rescuers. Tiger is a two year old Rottweiler that is underweight and in a poor condition. Having been checked on once, Inspector Mel Fisher is back to make sure he isn’t still chained up. A ten-year-old Lhasa Apso is found with matted fur, poor skin and a possible heart condition by Inspector Herchy Boal. Inspector Vicki Macdonald recalls a story of 65 dogs that were rescued from dire surroundings in a Manchester kennels. Oslo, a husky saved from a fight with a pit bull, gets a fun-filled day out with some friends. And we catch up with Sam, the abandoned Staffordshire bull terrier fed through a letterbox by Inspector Anthony Joynes.
S03:E11 - Episode 11

Inspector Lauren Bailey clashes with the owner of 8 puppies that are being kept in conditions that are too small. With an under weight mum, these pups will need to be checked over. We discover the heart-breaking case of little Haribo and find out if Inspector Graeme Petty gets justice. A truly terrified Stafford Shire Bull Terrier is bought into the outside world after being rescued by Inspector Anthony Joynes from a house in Liverpool. Over in Birmingham, 6-year-old Blade has been found with chronic fur loss. Inspector Herchy Boal tries to get to the bottom of what is making him itch himself raw… Roo was found on the streets of Romania. Born with three legs we hear the inspirational story of a dog that simply wont give up.
S03:E12 - Episode 12
Alan Davies returns for what’s set to be an even bigger and better third series of The Dog Rescuers. This week, The Dog Rescuers goes global and Inspector Herchy Boal joins the SPCA in Hong Kong. It’s a race to rescue a trapped dog under a dock in rising tide and a pup is stuck in a storm drain. There is an unusual and heart-breaking case in Scunthorpe for Inspector Graeme Petty. Inspector Lauren Bailey is on her way to a call about a dog that has been left in a hot car on a summer’s day. And we see how a rescued Lhasa Apso gave a 100-year-old lady a new lease of life.
S03:E13 - Episode 13
Alan Davies returns for what’s set to be an even bigger and better third series of The Dog Rescuers. Deputy Chief Inspector Matt Gough goes to assist a fellow inspector who needs his help removing multiple dogs from a property in Stapleford Abbotts, Essex. We catch up with Stanley, a long haired terrier cross rescued by Matt Gough and his team from the farm in Stapleford Abbotts. Karen has drafted in a professional dog photographer to take photos of him and her other rescue dog Regi, a lurcher. On the 6th of May 2015 Inspector Jason Bowles is called to a house in Lancashire where an English Bull Terrier called Kera is walking with a mysterious limp. We catch up with Herchy Boal as she visits Duke a black Labrador she rescued in series 2. Duke was emaciated and suffering from severe fur loss but now, with the help of new owners, he is a different dog. Inspector Anthony Joynes attends Wirral Magistrate Court for the trial of Marley and Zena, the two staffie crosses he rescued earlier in the series.
S03:E14 - Episode 14
Alan Davies returns for what’s set to be an even bigger and better third series of The Dog Rescuers. In Manchester, Inspector Vickie McDonald attends one of the hardest cases of her career. With the help of the police, she finds and catches 14 feral dogs that are aggressive and fighting. We catch-up with jack Russell cross Snowy, one of the dogs rescued by Vickie during ‘Dogs on the Run’. We catch up with terrier cross Lady, the last and most wild dog to be caged by Vickie on the day of ‘Dogs on the Run’. Find out what her new hobby is that is proving to the world just how far she has come since her days cooped up fighting. We follow prospective owner Claire on her pursuit to find a dog from Bath Cats and Dogs Home. This is a feature designed to educate viewers on how to adopt a dog from rehoming centres. We meet best friends Haatchi and Owen. Haatchi is a large Anatolian Shepherd who lost his leg after being hit by a train. Owen is a 9-year-old boy with Schwartz-Jampel syndrome, which causes him constant muscle pain. The two have struck an incredible friendship, which we follow for a day. We catch-up with Amber, a staffie rescued earlier in series 3, and her owner Levi. Levi takes Amber to a local agility training centre in Colchester to harness and develop Amber’s natural talent of jumping over logs.
S03:E15 - Episode 15
Alan Davies returns for what’s set to be an even bigger and better third series of The Dog Rescuers. As part of a joint operation with the police and trading standards, Inspector Jason Bowles is going to a farm that’s believed to be breeding puppies illegally. Inspector Lorna Campbell revisits an owner that has promised to get help for their dogs skin condition. It’s a year on, will things have improved? We see one of the puppies rescued from the puppy farm in Bury rehomed and find out what her new hobby is. Will the person that starved his bullmastiff cross, Boss, get away with it? In Flint, North Wales, Inspector Anthony Joynes is on an emergency call. A report has come in about a dog that’s been pitted against a badger. And we round up some of our favourite rescue dogs from the series.
S03:E16 - Episode 16
Join us at the Dog Rescuers house as host Alan Davies throws the ultimate Christmas party for his doggy friends. This years Dog Rescuers Christmas Special follows Inspector Lauren Bailey as she journeys to Lapland on an arctic adventure to discover how one winter wonderland dog sled organisation is blazing a trail for the welfare of working Husky Dogs. In this special episode we join the RSPCA volunteers, staff and vets at animal shelters across the country as they care for the 3000 dogs in their care over the Christmas period. And for the first time on Dog Rescuers we get an insight into the RSPCA national call centre at Christmas, responding to around 11,000 calls from the concerned public over between Christmas and New Year. One such call that comes in live to the National Call Centre is tasked out to Inspector Emily Collins, who races to rescue unloved Pomeranian Freddie, living in disgusting conditions. We meet a true survivor, pug puppy Ruby, whose jaw was broken by her callous owner. Ruby prepares for her first proper Christmas with new owner vet nurse, Lauren, while Inspector Anthony Joynes fights to get the result he wants from the Magistrates court.
S03:E17 - Puppy Farm Special
In this special puppy-focused episode of the Dog Rescuers, we see the RSPCA conclude their longest running puppy farm investigation: Operation Pagan. It’s estimated that one in three dog owners in Britain have unknowingly bought their puppy from a puppy farm and, in this special episode, Alan Davies reveals how the RSPCA cracked one of Britain’s biggest puppy farm operations in Manchester. Operation Pagan lasted 5 years and we will see exclusive footage from the raid and talk to the Special Operations Officers who conducted the investigation, who explain how they managed to bring this barbaric business to an end. Puppies can be a bit of a handful, and we join Lynn Marshall as she goes to the aid of a man who’s struggling to look after a rather large litter of nine puppies. Although it’s clear the owner cares for the dogs, it’s not long before the parents have to be signed over too. The poor owner says goodbye to his best friends. Giving up a dog isn’t easy, something Herchy Boal knows all too well. Meet Murphy, the puppy who captured the heart of one of our favourite RSPCA inspectors. Join Herchy as she takes Murphy to meet up with his brothers and sisters. Shiloh gives birth to eight healthy puppies. One of the puppies, Dobby, is adopted by the McBrides and forms a special bond with Daniel McBride. We follow the family as Dobby is taken to puppy training. And there’s a Dog Rescuers first: Alan Davies appeals directly to the public to try and find a home for Bruce and Rebel.
