George mistakenly pops the wrong soul, and all hell breaks loose when Betty decides to piggy-back on a soul and cross over.
S01:E06 - My Room
In order to teach George a lesson about taking her role as a grim reaper more seriously, Rube sends her on a difficult mission. In her absence, Rube discovers Yvonne, a reaper from his past who has just returned from a particularly difficult mission of her own ... a mission she began sixty years ago!

George finds herself in a strange and potentially romantic relationship with a man who can see gravelings while Rube helps Yvonne adapt to life in the new millenium and cope with the fallout of her years of deep sea imprisonment.

S01:E09 - Sunday Morning
When George pulls a post-it to collect a soul at the local college, she makes friends with and Mason develops a crush on a young female student whose favorite professor is none other than George's father. Watching him in his classroom, George reflects upon how close she and Clancy once were, before the teen years set in. In the end, George and her new friend talk with Clancy about his daughter and ultimately, George discovers there is something going on between her father and her new friend.
S01:E10 - Business Unfinished
Fed up with her low-paying job, George is vulnerable to a scam cooked up by Daisy and Mason to extort money from the rich son of a woman whose soul will not cross over. Using a dead relative story to get a few days off from Happy Time, George is used as an assistant, who must babysit the woman's soul until Daisy can arrange a seance. But Rube is onto them, and busts the trio, chastising them for abusing their powers. Meanwhile, Rube learns that Roxy's uncharacteristic cheer coincides with the anniversary of her death. He helps her deal with her grief and move on, as George returns to Happy Time and her own unfinished business.
S01:E11 - The Bicycle Thief
After George informs Delores that she's found another higher-paying job and will be leaving Happy Time, a bereft Delores organizes a going away party, Mason takes the souls of a gay, together-forver couple, while Daisy is called to task by the soul of a young painter who won't cross over. And when JD the dog runs away from the Lass home, Reggie, Joy and Clancy blame each other as they search for the glue of the family.
S01:E12 - Nighthawks
Unable to sleep and reflecting on her life (and afterlife), George heads to the Waffle Haus where she finds the reapers filling out evaluations under Rube's watchful eye. After glimpsing a post-it which lists her family's address, George disobeys Rube and rushes to the Lass house.
S01:E13 - Vacation
When the Gravelings take the day off, our reapers are stuck cleaning up an ensuing filing fiasco. Although the filing gets underway at Der Waffle Haus, George convinces Rube to move the operation after hours to Happy Time, where computers and modern technology are available. Meanwhile, George is distressed to see Joy, Clancy and Reggie heading to the family cabin without her. George reflects on the family's happier times at the cabin, as we see her parent's marriage fall apart.
S01:E14 - Rest in Peace
The Lass family is preparing to visit George's gravesite, where her headstone is being set. Meanwhile, Rube pops the soul of a yoga teacher who, surprisingly, can't wait to embrace the great beyond. Elsewhere, Mason embraces a young woman who puts an end to his sexual dry streak after he divulges his undead secret identity. And back at Happy Time, George askes Delores for her job back. In the end, the reapers gather at George's gravesite.
