The recently fired DEA Agent & Ex-Royal Canadian Mounted Police Officer, Nick Slaughter, moves to the Florida beach resort town of Key Mariah & opens a detective agency with a feisty local travel agent named Sylvie Girard! Their first case comes when an old friend of Nick's from the Philadelphia Police department asks them to help catch a killer!

Nick Slaughter, a disgraced former Canadian Mountie, and DEA Agent moves to the tropical island paradise of Key Mariah. Once there he starts his own Private Detective Agency, and meets Sylvie Gerard, a local travel agent. Together they form a strong friendship and quite the detective team. However, the local police squad never make it easy for them luckily they have plenty of friends to help along the way. The Town of Key Mariah will never be the same again thanks to Nick Slaughter and company!

A man by the name of Mr. Minton hires Nick to locate his brother, Stuart, because their mother is dying. When Nick finds him, Stuart claims that he has no brother and his mother is already dead, leading Nick to discover that he's a member of the witness protection program and Mr. Milton is a hit man sent to take care of him.

A businessman is opening a casino with his shady partners. Sylvie Falls in love with him and leaves her detective partnership behind to work for him.

A meek owner of a diamond and jewelry company hires Nick and Sylvie to find out if his hot, unhappy, and flirty wife is having an affair. Nick and Sylvie track her down only to witness her being murdered by her angry lover.

Ian, the owner of the small popular local beach bar Tropical Heat, and a close personal friend of Nick's, convinces Nick to help a pretty woman with amnesia who he just met. The more they find out about her past, the less she wants to remember.
