Nick's partner from his DEA days arrives in Key Mariah, with a small time criminal who can help bring down a drug lord who has recently opened his operations in Key Mariah. Complicating matters is Nick's old boss has arrived in Key Mariah & for some reason keeps trying to shut down the investigation.

Nick reconnects with Maria his old flame from High School. As the two rekindle their relationship it comes out that she is the mistress to a visiting mafia boss. Making matters worse, is the fact mob bosses wife is jealous, and wants her dead!

A local beauty contest turns deadly when the runner up accuses her opponent of cheating to win, and is then the chief suspect in her coach's murder. What seems like an open and shut case slowly becomes more complicated as it seems this case is also tied to a massive jewel theft.

A woman hires Nick and Sylvie to find her mother who abandoned her 20 years ago. They track her down to a clinic that offers psychiatric treatment, where Nick and Sylvie pose as a couple to join the therapy group.

Sylvie goes undercover to work at a telephone sex line company. One of the workers was murdered, and a potential suspect is calling the girls again.
