Nick's partner from his DEA days arrives in Key Mariah, with a small time criminal who can help bring down a drug lord who has recently opened his operations in Key Mariah. Complicating matters is Nick's old boss has arrived in Key Mariah & for some reason keeps trying to shut down the investigation.

Nick reconnects with Maria his old flame from High School. As the two rekindle their relationship it comes out that she is the mistress to a visiting mafia boss. Making matters worse, is the fact mob bosses wife is jealous, and wants her dead!

A man named Gregory Pike contacts Nick and Sylvie, requesting that they search for information on a woman he finds himself romantically interested in. Sylvie goes undercover to work at a telephone sex line company. One of the workers was murdered, and a potential suspect is calling the girls again.
