Michelin starred chef Michael Caines and culinary legend Prue Leith present a new entertaining series. They will be judging 16 pairs of inspired amateur cooks as they battle it out in a bid to scoop the £10,000 prize and the right to say, ‘My Kitchen Rules.’
In the first round, teams opened a themed restaurant at home for one ambitious night, cooking a three-course meal against the clock for their rival teams and the judges but now the competition moves up a gear to Kitchen HQ.
Today in the historic grounds of Stoneleigh Abbey the remaining three teams, old friends, Catherine and Debbie, engaged couple, Laura and Louis, and healthy best mates, Anna and Faye go head to head in our first quarter-final, cooking the best chicken of their lives, outside on a barbecue, in just 90 minutes.
The winning barbecue team will go straight through to the Group A Semi Final tomorrow. The two remaining teams will immediately face a Sudden Death cook-off inside Kitchen Headquarters. They have 90 minutes to create a delicious pastry dish using their leftover barbequed chicken.

S02:E01 - Episode 1
First to cook are Glasgow Gals, best friends Ami and Nicola. Their restaurant theme is the ‘Two Hungry Weegies’. The girls are raring to go but will their menu of curried langoustine soup, slow-roasted pork belly and millionaire shortcake be a winning combination?
S02:E02 - Episode 2
Tonight the Geeks, Hugh and Ste from Edinburgh have seven hours to shop, prep and cook a three-course meal for their rival teams and the judges to taste and critique. Their themed restaurant is ‘The Time Machine’. They’ll be out to impress with a haggis rissole starter, pheasant breast main and border tart desserts.
S02:E03 - Episode 3
Tonight it’s the turn of Fusion Friends, Rebecca and Nansai from Edinburgh, to shop, prep and cook a three-course meal to impress the judges and the rival teams in just seven hours. Rebecca and Nansai’s restaurant theme is ‘The Bonnie Tropicana’. Will their Scottish-Caribbean fusion menu of haggis tropicana, Ashanti chicken and mango and raspberry cranachan score highly?
S02:E04 - Episode 4
Tonight married couple Paula and David, the Hearty Hebrideans from the Isle of Lewis, have seven hours to shop, prep and cook for their restaurant themed as ‘The Gaelic Coast’ due to the couple’s love of the sea. They’ll be aiming to top the leaderboard with a pulled herring starter, roast lamb main and chocolate tea cake for dessert.
Instead of hearing their marks at the end of the evening, the action switches to Kitchen Headquarters. Here, Michael and Prue give their feedback and scores to Paula and David for their three course meal. And they reveal who has scored the most points and won immunity, who has to fight again in a cook-off at Kitchen HQ, and which team has been eliminated.

The competition heats up as the action moves to Kitchen Headquarters. The week’s second and third-placed teams will cook-off to secure the remaining spot in the next leg of the contest.
Judges Michael and Prue are joined by first regional guest judge, the award-winning Scottish chef Jimmy Lee, who will also set the two teams a cooking challenge. Which team will join the week’s winners in the next round?

For dessert, they are serving honey parfait with olive oil and fresh fruit. But will Angela and Rob’s fresh meat wow their rival teams with fresh flavours?

They are preparing a mouthwatering mezze starter, meatballs in cherry sauce for their main and pancakes and cheese curd in rosewater syrup for their dessert. But will Razan and Reda’s Arabic spiced flavours sizzle the judges tastebuds?

Tonight the ‘Healthy Mummies’, best friends Anna and Faye, stage their health-conscious restaurant at home in Harrogate. They have seven hours to shop, prep and cook for the rival teams and the judges.
Titled ‘The Provincial Kitchen’ the ingredients are local, fresh - and low calorie. Tonight they are serving a local goat’s cheese garden salad starter, followed by pan-fried seabass, crispy kale with pea and thyme puree. The guests marvel at the salted caramel chocolate tart dessert which has only 295 calories – with so few, what will it taste like?
Instead of revealing their scores at the end of the evening, the action switches to Kitchen Head Quarters. Here, Anna and Faye are given the judges feedback and their scores. And we learn who has won immunity and topped the leaderboard, which teams must cook-off tomorrow to stay in the competition, and which team is going home.
S02:E10 - Episode 10

All week the four teams from the Northern region have been battling in their own kitchens to cook the best restaurant standard three-course meal. Now the pressure is upped as the action shifts to Kitchen Headquarters set in the stunning grounds of Stoneleigh Abbey in Warwickshire.
The team with the highest number of points from the week’s restaurant contest win immunity to the next round. The teams in second and third place on the leaderboard will cook off against each other on the Kitchen HQ stations. The team with the lowest points will end their ‘My Kitchen Rules’ journey and be eliminated.
Guest Judge Frances Atkins, a Michelin starred chef and restaurateur, joins regular judges Michael and Prue to help judge the two teams. Frances also brings a mystery ingredient that the teams must make the hero of the dish in an invention challenge – gooseberries.

Tonight the ‘Ladies of the Village’ team, Catherine and Debbie, from the picture-postcard village of Lasham in Hampshire, kick off the first restaurant of the Southern region. They have seven hours to shop, prep and cook a three-course meal for their rival teams and the judges to taste and critique. Their Jane Austen inspired regency restaurant theme is ‘Persuasion’.
But the Ladies face a catalogue of obstacles in their bid to win points – first their Land Rover won’t start - delaying their shopping trip. And then a vital ingredient is missed off their shopping list. Heavens above, will they manage to serve their watercress soup and poached egg starter on time? And what will the judges make of their venison medallions and potato and celeriac gratin main and their roasted rhubarb and potted custard dessert – will it persuade or dissuade the diners?

Titled ‘Bollywood in Bournemouth’ and decorated with exotic saris and golden pineapples, the menu is mouthwatering; keema capsicum for the starter, bhuna spiced poussin stuffed with quail’s eggs for the main and cassava cake for the dessert – which none of their guest teams have eaten before. But will Sarah and Ramjan’s Indian spicing be too hot too handle - or leave the judges cold at the dinner table?

Today it’s the turn of Ben and Dan, the 'Barbecue Buddies'. The boys are workmates who promise to cook their three-course restaurant standard meal on their barbecues outside. They have just seven hours to shop, prep and cook for their rival teams and the judges.
Titled ‘Southern Smoke’ these boys are crazy about American-style barbecues with a Wild West twist. They're serving up a meaty menu of homemade scotch eggs and devilled eggs, reverse-seared tri-tip steak and pineapple upside-down cake - all cooked on the barbecues. Then a bombshell drops - Prue doesn’t like smoke!
Can the boys recover from Prue's admission, and with poor weather conditions will the boys even get the fire started in time to cook their meaty feast?
S02:E14 - Episode 14

Today it’s married couple Beverley and Sarah’s turn to stage their themed restaurant at home. The ‘Country Couple’ team has seven hours to shop, prep and cook a three-course meal for their rival teams and the judges. Their shopping trip is different to most; buying spring lamb direct from a local farmer and foraging nettles for their starter.
Titled ‘Provenance’, these girls care about where food comes from. And their menu has a few other surprises; a nettle soufflé starter with caerphilly cheese, a rack of lamb main and basil ice cream with a steamed orange pudding.
But scores for their meal are only revealed later at Kitchen Headquarters, where the team with the highest score is given immunity through to the next round and the lowest-scoring team is eliminated. The two teams left to battle it out in Friday's cook-off are also revealed.

At Kitchen HQ we’re going al fresco for the first outdoor challenge. The eight strongest teams pack their pitch forks for a farmer’s feast, cooking brunch for local farmers using fabulous local produce.
And there’s a twist. The judges have a wild card to bring back one team into the competition to the surprise of the other competitors and upping the pressure. One team will win the judge’s vote and one team the farmers vote, but the team with the least votes from the farmers will be eliminated at the end of the challenge.

Their mission today is to create an Italian inspired menu and to impress not just our Judges, Michael and Prue, but also Guest Judge, chef and restaurateur Francesco Mazzei.
Will the ladies smash it once more or will the underdogs fight back.

One team will be named the Kids’ Choice Winner and one team the Judges’ Winner. The two top-scoring teams pass straight through to the quarter-finals, whilst the two lowest scoring teams will go to a Sudden Death cook off tomorrow. Will the kids be fooled by a chocolate imposter and will all the teams manage to serve their food in time?

Yesterday Group B cooked 120 canapés for 50 hungry schoolchildren.
The two lowest-scoring teams from the Kid’s Challenge are now in a fight to the death to win the last position into the Quarter Finals and avoid elimination. It’s Mam ‘n’ Son team, Simon and Linda, versus Medical Mates, Raechel, and Andy.
They have three hours to prep, cook, and plate a three-course meal for our judges at Kitchen HQ. The menus couldn’t be more different - Simon and Linda have gone for a tricksy technical menu with their Souffle, Trio of Rabbit and Cry Baby Ice Cream, whilst Raechel and Andy are keeping it simple with their Pea Soup, Venison, and Sticky Toffee Pudding.

In earlier rounds the teams opened a themed restaurant at home for one night, cooking a three-course meal against the clock for their rival teams and the judges - but now the competition has intensified at Kitchen Head Quarters.
The eight remaining strongest teams have been split into two groups and this week it’s Group B’s turn to cook. Today the three strongest teams in Group B, face a double challenge.
First, all three teams have 90 minutes to cook salmon and a side dish on the barbecues outside. The weakest team will be eliminated. Michelin starred chef Michael Caines and culinary legend Prue Leith present a new entertaining series. They are judging 16 pairs of inspired amateur cooks as they battle it out in a bid to scoop the £10,000 prize and the right to say, ‘My Kitchen Rules.’
In earlier rounds the teams opened a themed restaurant at home for one night, cooking a three-course meal against the clock for their rival teams and the judges - but now the competition has intensified at Kitchen Head Quarters.
The eight remaining teams have been split into two groups and this week it’s Group B’s turn to cook. Today the two strongest teams in Group B, are facing the MKR second Italian themed Semi-Final. Whoever wins this will go on to fight the Ladies of the Village in the Grand Final so the stakes couldn’t be higher.
Will it be Glasgow Gals, Ami and Nicola with their pan-seared cod starter, fig stuffed pork for main and limoncello semifreddo dessert or Mam ‘n’ Son team Simon and Linda with their starter of sardines in a sweet and sour sauce, duck ragu with pappardelle pasta for main and prosecco jelly with summer fruits for dessert.

Will it be Glasgow Gals team Ami and Nicola flying the flag for Scotland with their celebration of salmon for starter, Balmoral steak with staggis bonbon for main and a Scottish strawberry pannacotta with champagne jelly for dessert, or Ladies of the Village team Catherine and Debbie keeping it English with their starter of goat’s cheese and tomato terrine, a fun take on ‘fish and chips’ for main and strawberry fraisier for dessert.
