Polish school boy Karol Kot, known as the Vampire of Krokow had killed two people, an 11 year old boy and an 86 year old women. He tried to kill many more in arson and poison attempts. He was executed by the age of 21.

Gary Ridgway, AKA the Green River Killer got away with mass murder across the Pacific Northwest for nearly twenty years. He was finally caught in 2001 and was convicted of 49 murders.

America’s most notorious serial killer Ted Bundy confessed to the murder of 30 young women across the US between 1974 and 1978. He was executed in 1989.

Colin Ireland, 39 made a new year’s resolution in 1993 to become a serial killer and then murdered five Gay men in London. In 2006 he got a whole life term.

Bobby Joe Long is an American serial killer and rapist who terrorised the Tampa Bay Area in Florida during 1984. During his eight-month sadistic killing spree he murdered ten women in the Tampa area in Florida.

In Cumbria, 2010 taxi driver Derrick Bird took his gun and, in less than 24 hours, shot dead 12 people and injured 11 more. The callous killer only stopped when he had run out of ammunition, finally turning the gun on himself.

Danny Rolling, also known as the Gainesville Ripper, murdered five university students in Florida over four days in 1990. Rolling also confessed to murdering three generations of one family including an 8 year old boy in one attack in his hometown of Shreveport, Louisiana.

21 year old David Heiss, stabbed 20 year old Matthew Pyke 86 times after he became infatuated with Matthew’s girlfriend, Joanna. In May 2009 he was sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum of 18 years in jail.

Dennis Rader, known to the World as the BTK Killer, killed 10 people, including young children between 1974 and 1991 in Wichita, Kansas USA. Rader’s preferred method of murder was to bind, torture and then kill.

30 year old Trevor Hardy known as ‘The Beast of Manchester’ killed three teenage girls in a series of brutal attacks in the mid to late 1970’s. He was given three life sentences and was one of Britain’s longest serving prisoners.

Christopher Halliwell, a 47 year old cab-driver, strangled a twenty year old woman and evaded justice for 8 years until his arrest for killing another young female. He finally got a whole life sentence in 2016.

44 year serial killer John Cooper known as ‘The Bullseye Killer’, killed four people between 1983 and 1996, he was given four life sentences.

32 year old Vincent Tabak strangled his neighbour 25 year Joanna Yeates to death in her own flat in December 2010. In 2011 he was given a life sentence, with a minimum of 20 years.
