Little is known about the life of Philomena. In 1802 the remains of a woman were found in a catacomb of Saint Priscilla on the Via Salaria. It was covered with stones, the symbols on which indicated that the body was a martyr named Saint Philomena. She is the only saint to have revealed her story in “Private revelation”. She revealed her story to three people in different parts of the world.

John Bosco was born on August 16, 1815 in the hillside hamlet of Becchi, Italy. He was the youngest son of Francesco Bosco and Margherita Occhiena. He had two older brothers, Antonio and Giuseppe. St. John Bosco was canonized on Easter Sunday, 1934. He is the patron saint of apprentices, editors and publishers, schoolchildren, magicians, and juvenile delinquents.

Mother Euphrasia was born on October 17th, 1877. Her father was a businessman and her mother was a virtuous woman. At the age of nine, Rosa is said to have had an apparition of the Virgin Mary, which led her to make a commitment to God and never marry. Her father opposed this, as he wanted to arrange a marriage with another family in the region. Seeing her resolve, her father eventually relented.

St. Alphonsa was born in a small parish called Kudamaloor in the state of Kerala in India. She was the fourth child of Joseph and Mary, and they baptized her with the name Anna.
