Fifty potential contestants arrive at Docklands and cook their best Audition Dish for the Judges in the hope of earning an apron into the Top 24.Contestants have one hour to cook this dish.

It’s day one in the MasterChef kitchen and our contestants and the judges announce that this challenge will be a Mystery Box challenge and that it will involve some past champions.

The losing blue team from the offsite challenge had to compete against each other in a 3 round elimination. The task for each round was the same - cook one great snapper dish.
S06:E09 - Mystery Box: Maggie Bee
On the Mystery Box of the week, they find 8 fairly difficult ingredients inside – octopus, umeboshi plums, chocolate, pear, parsley, fresh bay leaves, verjuice and caper berries.
S06:E10 - Elimination Challenge: Alla Wolf Tasker Pressure Test
3 of the most popular contestants were up for elimination in this pressure test because they cooked raw quid in the Spanish Invention Test.

S06:E12 - Two Part Challenge: Team Challenge (Pt. 2)
Teams have to cook a three-course meal for 30 guests, which exactly replicated three courses from a 2-hatted restaurant, either Ezard or Cutler and Co.

The losing team from the last challenge all faced a 3 round elimination. In the first round, the 10 contestants had to cook a dish in 30 minutes using only 10 ingredients.
S06:E14 - Mystery Box: Staffies Mystery Box & Reverse Invention Test: Remove Proteins or Fruits and Vegetables
George came walking through the MasterChef door with an army of ninjas carrying Mystery Boxes and they found out the mystery box ingredients for this week had come from The Press Club.
S06:E15 - Pressure Test Elimination: Christy Tania’s Mango Alfonso
Christy Tania from Om Nom came in and presented her Mango Alfonso dessert which had 10 different elements on it. The contestants had 3 hours to replicate the dish with Christy's recipe.

Tash and Sarah had to cook off against each other in a mini-challenge to decide who would compete against Benjamin Cooper. The mini challenge was all about chillies.
S06:E17 - Team Dessert Degustation
The contestants walked into Sketch at Central Pier Docklands to discover an amazing table of desserts created by Darren Purchese. Their task was to create a four course dessert degustation.
S06:E18 - Gumbo Elimination
The losing team had to face off in a Blind Taste Test. Their task was to taste a mystery dish in 3 minutes and then write down as many ingredients as they could in 2 minutes from that dish.

The losing team from the off-site challenge will compete in a time-auction elimination challenge and one contestant's dream will be over. We end with a sweet Masterclass that's all about dessert.

In the invention test, each team has to produce one sweet and one savoury dish using chocolate, showing their versatility. The team that impresses the judges the most will win a chance at immunity.

It's SemiFinal time and Brent, Emelia and Laurahave been working hard to plantheir dream menus as they face one last hurdle before the MasterChef Grand Finale of 2014. At the end of today, only two will be left standing.

The day has finally arrived. MasterChef's Grand Finale. Brent Owens and Laura Cassai arrive atthe MasterChef Kitchen for one last chance to cook. By the end of the day, one of them will be crowned Australia's MasterChef for 2014.
