Season 1 Episode 9 - Episode 9
It’s day nine and it’s crunch time if the kids want to prove to their parents they can manage a pet of their own. Giulia, Tej, and Rachel cuddle up to a litter of kittens. It’s dinnertime for Elvis the corn snake and a fearless Ysabel serves up a defrosted mouse. One group tends to the rabbits and guinea pigs in the pouring rain. After much deliberation, Sophie reveals the final pet buddy partnerships. Micah bonds with Molly the dog. Ysabel dresses up for an extreme lesson in proper pet care. In advance of their parents’ verdict, the kids each head home with a Pet School report card.

S01:E01 - Episode 1
It’s day one at Pet School and the kids are assigned their first-ever pet practice. In the stock room, Rachel and Giulia are squeamish about handling frozen mice and live locusts. Another group discovers that while rousing sleeping ferrets is difficult, putting harnesses on them is even trickier. The participants are introduced to their pet buddies: Sam is thrilled about his corn snake companion, Ysabel is afraid to handle Kitkat the hamster, and Rachel bonds with her bearded dragon. Fresh from Britain’s Got Talent, dog trainer Ashleigh and her famous pooch Pudsey drop by for a visit.
S01:E02 - Episode 2
While watching over the incubator, Sophie, Liam, and Rachel welcome the six newest members of the Pet School family, but cleaning out the chicken coop tests their teamwork. While one group mucks out the stables, another learns about canine dental care. When his corn snake starts shedding its skin, a disappointed Sam searches for a pet buddy substitute. Things get hairy when Nikita, the curly haired tarantula, stops by for a visit. When dog trainer Ashleigh and her famous pooch Pudsey drop in, Giulia gets some celebrity-tested tips for bonding with her dog.
S01:E03 - Episode 3
Micah and Liam horse around while on bird duty. Checking cats for fleas proves more difficult than expected. Ysabel, Rachel, and Sam head to the reptile room where they feed live locusts to a dragon. Liam finally bonds with dog Mollie, but picking up after her is still a major obstacle. Sophie has a breakthrough with her ferret pals. Micah dresses like a giant hamster and is caged to give everyone a big lesson in proper animal care. Celebrity visitor Ashleigh and her famous dog Pudsey give Tej a one-on-one lesson in dog training.
S01:E04 - Episode 4
Everyone is thrilled when Mya, the black Labrador puppy, comes for a visit. Micah starts warming up to the rabbits, but checking their tails for poo proves tricky. Sam must face his fear of stick insects. Rachel gives Tej some tips to help convince his parents to get him a dog. The kids are speechless when an 11-foot, 30-pound python named Mr. Sunshine stops by. Star of the hit BBC sitcom Outnumbered, Daniel Roche and his dog Peaches get a celebrity introduction to some of Pet School’s residents.
S01:E05 - Episode 5
It’s day five of Pet School and host Aaron Craze announces a pet buddy shakedown. Some of the participants are thrilled, but after a week of highs and lows, others are devastated to be handing over their pet buddies to someone else. During pet practice, one group builds a new obstacle course for the rats. Horse duty proves to be a challenge for Micah, Rachel, and Sam. When cleaning out the stock room, Giulia shoulders the heavy lifting while Tej and Liam look on. Star of the BBC sitcom Outnumbered, celebrity visitor Daniel Roche walks on the wild side with Pet School’s two goats.
S01:E06 - Episode 6
It’s week two of Pet School and the kids face even bigger challenges. Team leader Micah takes a back seat while Rachel and Giulia clean up the mouse mess. With two fish tanks to tend to, Liam’s team runs out of time. Hound helpers Sophie, Chris, and Tej run into trouble when an off-leash Kiki starts goat herding. Ysabel conquers her fear of snakes. Micah struggles with canine communication. Chris has mixed emotions about his new ferret companions. Heavyweight albino python Mr. Sunshine slithers by for a visit. Strictly Come Dancing’s Artem Chigvintsev drops by with his two cats.
S01:E07 - Episode 7
Pet practice for one lucky trio is an off-lead adventure with Reena’s dog Piper. Sam takes a back seat at the dragon’s breakfast. Sophie, Rachel, and Tej saddle up for an equine challenge, but fall short of the big prize. Rachel calls the shots in the chicken coop and learns that escapee birds don’t follow orders. Sam gets stuck with the stick insects and canvasses for a new pet buddy. There are plenty of giggles when CBBC’s Chris and Dodge stop by for a visit. Sam’s eyes sparkle at his hands-off meeting with Mr. Pinchy the scorpion. With encouragement from mom, Micah is determined to overcome his fears.
S01:E08 - Episode 8
It’s day eight and the tasks at Pet School are getting more intense. Micah, Liam, and Chris learn that big dogs are harder to control. Ysabel, Giulia, and Sam ace a giant indoor challenge, but leave everything else in a mess. A chicken coop disagreement leads to team tension as Tej, Rachel, and Sophie split up to tackle a series of outdoor challenges. Sophie is voted Best Pet Carer, but the honour comes with a heavy responsibility. The corn snake finally sheds its skin. Star of Dani’s House, Klariza Clayton, and her dog Maxwell stop by for a hands-on visit.

It’s the last day of Pet School and putting all the animal care skills they’ve learned into action, the kids have just 45 minutes to clean and feed every single animal. Time is tight as one group tends to all the indoor animals, including the messy cats and hard-to-catch mice. Liam takes charge of the ferrets, while his goat-herding team loses track of time. With just two minutes left on the clock, the chickens fly the coop. The kids say goodbye to their pet buddies for the very last time, and their parents return to Pet School to reveal their final verdict.
