S01:E01 - The Murder of Nisha Patel-Nasri
In a North London suburb Nisha Patel Nasri was fatally stabbed in her home. She ran out to her driveway and shocked neighbors called 999, but it was too late to save Nisha. She was a popular local hairdresser and a special constable who, the night before the attack, had just celebrated her 3rd wedding anniversary. Was she targeted because she was a policewoman? Was this a robbery that went wrong?
S01:E02 - The Murder of David Morley
When barman David Morley was beaten on London's South Bank detectives from New Scotland Yard thought they were dealing with a homophobic attack. David had survived the bombing of the Admiral Nelson pub, and was a wellknown and much-loved figure in London's gay community, and attacks on gay people had just been recognized as hate crimes by the justice system so were very much in the headlines.
S01:E03 - The Murder of Alice Gross
When New Scotland Yard detective Carl Mehta was assigned to investigate a missing sixteen year old girl, he freely admits he feared the worse. Alice went for a walk at 6 pm on an August evening, and never returned. With over 600 officers and police divers involved, the search for Alice Gross became the biggest use of police manpower since the 7/7 bombing.
S01:E04 - The Camden Ripper
When a homeless man is searching for food in bins outside flats in Camden, North London he thought he had discovered discarded meat, what he'd actually found was dismembered body parts wrapped in black plastic bags. Police from New Scotland Yard immediately throw a cordon around the area and carry out an extensive search, and very quickly discover more limbs wrapped in the same way.
S01:E05 - The Murder of Michael Menson
When police discovered a man on fire in Edmonton, North London, they assumed he had set fire to himself, he died in hospital 16 days after the incident. Michael Menson, who had been part of a successful pop band in the 1980s, had a history of mental illness, but he told his family he'd been attacked and his family campaigned to get police to investigate.
S01:E06 - The Stockwell Strangler
The first victim of the Stockwell Strangler was found dead in her bed with no sign of violence or struggle, it was only an eagle-eyed home help who noticed the TV was missing.The Stockwell Strangler had begun a 4-month spree which would leave 7 elderly men and women dead and struck fear into pensioners across south London. New Scotland Yard were desperate to get this serial killer off the streets.

S01:E08 - The Murder of Cathy Marlow
Cathy Marlow was originally from New Zealand but living and working in Vauxhall, London. Even though it was Saturday, Cathy had just come back from a holiday so she was planning to catch up with some work and then meet a friend for lunch. But when she didn’t turn up the alarm was raised and her body was discovered at her office. She’d been bludgeoned to death and strangled with her own scarf.
S01:E09 - The Murder of Laila Rezk
Laila Rezk was discovered badly beaten in her own home in Kingston, by her grown up children who arrived to have dinner with her. They tried to revive her, but Laila died of her injuries. Detectives believed the key to discovering who killed Laila was to work out the motive for her death. Could she be the victim of a stalker who followed her home in Central London, or a robbery that went wrong?
S01:E10 - The Murder of Geeta Aulakh
Geeta Aulakh, a wife and mother of two boys, is fatally attacked with machete as she makes her way to pick up her children from the child minders in Greenford, West London. When an informant arrives at a police station to tell detectives he thinks he might unwittingly have been involved in the murder, the police at New Scotland Yard ask why he’s volunteering information.
