It's the start of the academic year at Straits University and the beginning of a brand new adventure for a group of freshmen moving into Cempaka Residential Hall. Things are off to a rocky start when the university finds itself inundated by public outrage when Orientation at Cempaka Hall goes awry.

Disappointed by the cancellation of Orientation, Alex is determined to make it up to the Cempaka freshmen. He convinces the Dean to reinstate the Cempaka Pageant, a beloved annual tradition. Initially unsettled, Zarina is surprised when a spooky encounter leads her to an unexpected friend.

Things grow heated between swimmers CK and Kenneth as they compete for the Inter-varsity Games and for a date with Desiree. Sylvia gets more than she bargained for when shes tasked with organising the IDEA conference, sparking off a political rivalry that will test Sylvia's idealism.

It's time for the Cempaka Hall Student Management Committee elections. Bryan is running for Vice-President and Priya is appalled to learn that everyone is voting for superficial reasons. A rumour about Philip's past brings him under scrutiny.

Bryan and Priya are running against each other in the Cempaka Hall Student Management Committee elections. Tensions run high and the gauntlet is thrown when Priya accuses Bryan of underhanded tactics. Compelled by an unpublished tribute for Juliet, Sylvia and Philip dig deeper into Juliets death.

Zarina and Desiree are still at odds but Zarina finds comfort in her budding friendship with Si En, who introduces her to the strange and wonderful world of cosplay. Philip is convinced that there's more to his sister's death than has been reported, but his parents urge him to lay her ghost to rest.

Francis and David are up for tenureship, the coveted goal of their academic career. While David is full of confidence, Francis is riddled with self-doubt. A lunch chat with the IDEA conference speaker reveals to Sylvia that there's something suspicious about Madelyn.

With Sylvia's help, Philip finds out more about David and Juliet's close relationship, but Philip's clouded judgment threatens to be his undoing. Meanwhile, CK resorts to taking steroids in order to maintain his swimming performance.

The announcement of a promising overseas internship motivates the students to excel in David's class, with Victoria in particular keen to clinch the internship. Sylvia is resigned to having to put up with Madelyn's political manoeuvring, but Soo Ching decides that Madelyn has gone too far.

Soo Ching finds herself fighting a battle to expose Madelyn. She is further demoralised to learn that young, idealistic Sylvia is more willing to play the game than she is. Victoria learns that turning her wiles on David might help her to get a better grade.

David worries that he has crossed the line with Victoria and feels cornered when she expects better grades in his class. Sylvia finally gathers the courage to go through the box of items that her former prof left her. CK's world falls apart when his steroid abuse is discovered.

Students and faculty are back in school after the semester break. Everyone is worried about CK and his recovery. A new scandal breaks when a rumour surfaces that Dean Malcolm might have plagiarised material for the textbook that made him famous.

It is a week of reunions as CK moves back in to Cempaka Hall and Jerry returns from his stint in prison. Jerry has newfound respect for Philip and helps him to make a new discovery about Juliet's past. Alex falls victim to a blackmailer who threatens to leak photos of his lewd escapades online.

Victoria is at a loss when her relationship with David takes an unexpected turn. Sylvia decides to take her investigation into Malcolm's plagiarism further by getting information from a high level source, but she is torn over whether or not to reveal what she knows.

Sylvia and Philip are under investigation by the university administration when a compromising video of them is released online. As they attempt damage control, they cant help but wonder if they've made a terrible mistake.

Sylvia gets a rude shock when Malcolm informs her that she will not be getting the disciplinary hearing that she was hoping for,and instead informs her that she is to either resign or be fired. Desiree is pressured by Alex to take their relationship further and has to fend off his unwelcome advances.

It's the day of Sylvia's disciplinary hearing, she braces herself to come clean with the board. Her testimony takes a surprising turn, implicating Malcolm and forcing a new investigation into his plagiarism allegations. Desiree faces more online backlash from her near-assault by Alex than Alex does.

It's the start of Malcolms fall and the rise of Madelyn as news of his plagiarism breaks in Straits University. While Philip and Sylvia's scandal has been resolved, Philip is unsettled by the thought that hes no closer to the truth about Juliet's death.

A new normal seems to have settled at Straits University, with Madelyn being acting dean and finally on good terms with Sylvia. David and Francis eagerly anticipate the outcome of their tenure-ship applications. Philip is convinced that Alex is responsible for Juliet's death.
