17 designers arrive and the news is broken that the final audition is still to come. The designers are challenged to create a garment from clothes from another designer's luggage.

The designers meet Joanna Coles, Editor in Chief of Marie Claire magazine, for their challenge. They are told that they are to create designs that epitomize the Marie Claire woman.

In the conclusion of the finale, one designer is named the winner of Project Runway Season 8.
