Lynn is researching the Tanner Family Tree for a school project. Kate suggests ALF do the Shumway Family Tree, hoping it will occupy him for some time.

Halloween is approaching and ALF wants to go trick-or-treating. Kate, of course, objects, but ALF persists.

ALF learns the concept of Earthly beauty pageants. Since Lynn, having been dumped, is suffering from low self-esteem, ALF enters her in a pageant.

Kate's mother has decided to get married in the Tanners' house. Unfortunately, ALF develops a Melmacian Hiccup, that keeps getting louder and louder.

ALF reminisces his "adventures" on Melmac. Willie reveals that when he was 17, he hopped on trains and crossed the whole country.
S02:E10 - Isn't It Romantic?
Willie and Kate no longer share activities, because one of them has to always stay at home keeping eye on ALF.
S02:E11 - Hail to the Chief
ALF is frustrated because he can't vote in the presidential election.
S02:E12 - ALF's Special Christmas
The Tanners decide to spend Christmas in a cabin in the woods but ALF soon gets lost.
S02:E13 - The Boy Next Door
Mr. Ochmonek's nephew Jake comes to live with them. They tell the Tanners that Jake is a problem kid and ask their advice on how to deal with him.

When a football shatters the Ochmoneks' picture window, ALF gets the blame and he demands his day in "Tanner Family Court".

A visit from Willie's Uncle Albert surprises the Tanners and causes ALF great distress.
S02:E16 - Someone to Watch Over Me (Pt. 1)
A series of robberies in the neighborhood prompts ALF to want to help with Neighborhood Watch, when Willie is voted block captain.
S02:E17 - Someone to Watch Over Me (Pt. 2)
Neighborhood Watch volunteers quit as the robberies continue. ALF decides to take direct action, causing chaos at the Ochmoneks' house.

Jody loses her apartment when the building becomes a condominium, so ALF tries to help her "adjust" to a new home.
S02:E19 - You Ain't Nothin' but a Hound Dog
A stray dog makes ALF jealous, so he gives her to the first (and obviously wrong) person who responds to a "found dog" poster.

It's the Tanners who learn a lesson while trying to passively resist a belligerent father and son.
S02:E21 - Movin' Out
The Tanners may need to sell their house because Willie has been promoted to a supervisory position in San Deigo.

ALF tries ventriloquism. The attitude of his new "friend", Paul the dummy, turns contentious - then things get weird.

ALF assists Kate's alcoholic friend realise that she needs help.
S02:E24 - We Are Family
A dejected ALF wants to expose his existence to the world. Willie has an idea to help him through the crisis.
S02:E25 - Varsity Drag
ALF discovers that he is responsible for Lynn not being able to attend Amherst College, and makes another attempt to find employment.
