Anna Xie’s sister-in-law Teresa Fai, an aspiring barrister, spots a former legal aid client laundering money in the Xie family’s new Toronto Casino.

Michelle finds her daughter’s caregiver, but too late - the girl has been kidnapped and is being used as leverage by criminal mastermind Norris Pang.

Michelle confronts Pang who threatens to harm Rebecca unless Michelle continues to allow his inside man at the Casino to launder money.

Anna’s trust is broken when Teresa shows her evidence of Michelle’s misdeeds. Pang demands Michelle’s help to obtain clothing and toys for her daughter Rebecca.

Michelle finally reveals to Anna that Pang is holding Rebecca hostage. Shocked, Anna and Teresa agree to help find a way to release her.

The Casino heist goes awry when a security guard starts to piece together Michelle and Anna’s plans.

In one last ditch effort, Ron and Weiran devise a scheme to stop Pang. Michelle finds a way to prevent Anna’s murder though witnesses to the attempt suffer disastrous results.
