During the reign of Emperor Shang of Tang, PRINCE OF PING, LI LONGJI joins forces with PRINCESS TAIPING to successfully eliminate EMPRESS WEI.

Just as everybody is surprised to learn the identity of the suspect, SANSHU testifies and helps clear the name of the suspect.

HE LI sends severely injured YUAN YUE to Imperial Medical Bureau, but physician QI refuses to use premium balm to treat her, so HE LI draws his sword to threaten him.

TAIPING fervently opposes WANG ZHEN’s proposal of demolishing the Huixin Courtyard named by the late Emperor GAOZONG

After learning that SANSHU hastily demolished the Huixin Courtyard, TAIPING becomes so enraged that she wants to punish him. LONGJI arrives in time to help him out of trouble.

WANG ZHEN goes to the Imperial Household Bureau to visit QIONGXIANG in private, asking her to help check the record of palace maid WU CUIYING.

TAIPING goes to visit the person who took the blame for her in jail but gets a cold shoulder.

After learning about the attempted assassination on her elder brother LI DAN, TAIPING wastes no time rushing there to make an audience with him and comfort him

Facing TAIPING’s accusation, the suspect has no way to deny it, fortunately, quick-witted LONGJI manages to help the suspect out of trouble.

LONGJI, HE LI and SANSHU join forces to fight off the assassin, following which they suspect it’s an inside job that someone from the imperial palace is behind the whole saga.

TAIPING pleas for the Emperor’s approval of allowing her to leave the palace, to which LI DAN decrees his approval.

After BIYUN and XIANGSI are attacked, SANSHU and HE LI go specifically to the Imperial Household Bureau to investigate.

With WANG ZHEN falling into the clutches of the criminal, YUAN YUE risks her own life to protect her.

Arranged by YUAN YUE, LONGJI and WANG ZHEN are finally open and honest with each other.

LONGJI is suspected of poisoning TAIPING, so CHENGQI, SANSHU and HE LI make every effort to help him.

WANG ZHEN eventually uncovers the conspiracy and helps clear LONGJI’s name.

With YUAN YUE depressed over things regarding YIN ROU, HE LI not only appears to be very attentive but also shares his own story with her.

CUNXI offers a gold tree as congratulations to LONGJI on his ascension to the throne, successfully winning favor from LI DAN and the others.

SANSHU re-encounters CUNXI in the palace, so they catch up with each other.

After YUAN YUE is instated as PRINCESS LINGLONG, RUOQIAN is sent by the Imperial Household Bureau to serve her.

LONGJI bids farewell to everybody, prior to which he hands a sachet containing advisory notes to SANSHU and HE LI, adding that it will help them solve problems.

In order to confirm HE LI’s real identity, QIONGXIANG checks his background.

Though WANG MIN decides to stay in the palace, QIONGXIANG indicates that it’s the Empress’s decree.

CUNXI is injured so WANG ZHEN takes the blame for it.

CHENG GONG is exiled upon his conviction, so QIONGXIANG tries to convince NANGONG QIN to bid farewell to him.

Just as TAIPING is about to teach CUNXI a lesson, LONGJI braves out to protect her. NANGONG QIN receives a letter from CHENG GONG, informing her that he has arrived safely.

RUOQIAN admits that she schemed to frame SANSHU and CUNXI. Though LONGJI plans to treat her leniently, TAIPING is strongly opposed the idea and wants to execute RUOQIAN.

On her way to visit CUNXI, WANG ZHEN runs into SANSHU, who tries to persuade her by using the Zilan Bath saga.

BIYUN feels resentful after being accused by XIANGSI of having a connection with ABLE CONSORT’s death

YUYAN learns from the Imperial Physician that LI DAN has becomes very moody, indicating stagnation in the hepatobiliary system

CUNXI is injured because she tries to the touch the magpie eggs on the tree.

RUOQIAN is found to have sufferred a traumatic head injury, and she is still in a coma after being treated by a physician.

HE LI asks QIONGXIANG for the truth, leaving her no other choice but to reveal the secret that has been hidden deep in the palace for years.

LONGJI laments over his attitude towards CUNXI, so SANSHU specifically requests an audience to comfort him.

At the court hall, LONGJI and TAIPING are at daggers drawn, in the nick of time, WANG ZHEN rushes there, bringing alone evidence against TAIPING, who seeks to usurp the throne.
