A paranoid stand-up comedian is convinced that his wife is trying to kill him. He hires Peter Gunn to investigate, but Gunn gets an opposite view of the marriage from the wife.

An alcoholic hires Peter Gunn to keep him sober for 12 hours, in order to put on a good appearance for his daughter, who is arriving on a plane the next day.

Cliffie Thomas hires Peter Gunn to protect him from a recently-escaped convict by the name of Al Brenners, who had blinded Thomas about ten years prior.
S02:E20 - Sentenced
Peter Gunn is convicted and given the death sentence for a crime he did not commit. Before being delivered to prison, Lt. Jacoby asks to see his old friend in his office.
S02:E21 - The Hunt
The local Syndicate heads pay a hitman to eliminate Peter Gunn. Despite being tipped off by Jacoby, Gunn is kidnapped and driven out to an abandoned mine to be killed.

A Hollywood production company comes to town to film a movie. When a bit player is killed, Peter Gunn is hired by the producer to find out what happened.
S02:E23 - Sing a Song of Murder
Peter Gunn is hired by a broken-down musician and ex-convict to find his wife, who is supposed to be dead. Gunn discovers that the truth does involve death, just not hers.
S02:E24 - The Long, Long Ride
An aging mob boss has been recently released from prison, and Gunn is hired to find out who wants him dead. The mob boss's reason for wanting to know is more than it would seem.

A man is paid to take the blame for the murder of his boss's wife. As part of the plan, he hires Peter Gunn to investigate.
S02:E26 - The Murder Clause
Peter Gunn is hired by a woman who is afraid her husband may kill her. When the husband is found dead, the wife is the chief suspect, yet the circumstances seem iffy to Gunn.
S02:E27 - The Dummy
Marvelous Marvon, a ventriloquist, is found murdered after his act. Gunn is hired by Marcel Benoit to find the killer. Rinaldo, his ventriloquist dummy, turns out to be no dummy.
S02:E28 - Slight Touch of Homicide
Peter Gunn is hired to find out who is killing mob members. Gunn takes the job to avoid a gang war, which could end up with innocent civilians caught in the crossfire.
S02:E29 - Wings of an Angel
A prison warden asks Gunn to help in the rehabilitation of a bank heist planner by escorting the man to his daughter's wedding. The man disappears on the trip back to prison.
S02:E30 - Death Watch
A teacher working after school hours finds a student dead in the gym locker room. When he is a suspect to the public, he becomes worried about his life, and contacts Peter Gunn.
S02:E31 - Witness in the Window
Anthony hires Gunn to find Marion who is blackmailing him. What he finds leads him to believe that the neighbor may have seen something and was met with their demise.
S02:E32 - The Best Laid Plans
Gunn is tipped: the soon-to-be visiting Governor will be assassinated. When the rumor is shared with Lt. Jacoby, there is doubt as to the validity of this information.
S02:E33 - Send a Thief
Gunn is hired by a mystery woman to deliver a briefcase. A bigger mystery is what is in the briefcase and who will kill to get it?
S02:E34 - The Semi-Private Eye
Gunn is hired by a wealthy businessman to deter his son from trying to solve the case of an Investment Counselor. He disappeared with a suitcase of money and murdered a cop.
S02:E35 - Letter of the Law
Peter Gunn is hired by the District Attorney, whose son is the chief suspect in the murder of a pretty gold-digger. Gunn will find the truth, one way or the other.
S02:E36 - The Crossbow
A man is killed by a sniper with a crossbow. Gunn has a client with a criminal record, an upper-crust clientele, and a collection of weapons that once included a crossbow.

Gunn's job is to remove a gangster from a wealthy man's mansion. The millionaire's daughter had an ex-mob boss paroled to her, now he is using the estate as a base of operations.
S02:E38 - Baby Shoes
A perplexed Gunn has a baby dumped on his doorstep. He finds the father is scheduled to testify against a crime czar who is hiding out until all witnesses have been killed.
