T01:C01 - S01:E01 - The Bakery Story
Buster is working at a sporting goods store thats losing money and hes only keeping his job because hes such a hard worker but eventually, after a horrible encounter with Margaret Dumont, he leaves. After contemplating suicide, he hears a radio broadcast and goes to a psychic/psychiatrist/printer/lawyer who sells him a fake bakery and Buster quickly realizes he has no idea what hes doing.
T01:C02 - S01:E02 - The Billboard Story
Buster starts back in the sporting good store giving a golf lesson. He now has a small repertory theatre in the San Fernando Valley with no money but his leading lady has expectations for an extensive wardrobe and he cant say no. The billboard advertising the show takes every penny he has and everything about the show and the billboard, including the date, is a disaster.
T01:C03 - S01:E03 - The Gorilla Story
Two German scientist/adventurers come into the sporting goods stores looking to equip themselves for a trip to Africa looking for a gorilla they believe is the missing link. Buster joins them, encounters the gorilla of Southern Congo) and is well mannered). He awakens and realizes it was a dreamsuntil the missing link enters the store and they continue their friendship.
T01:C04 - S01:E04 - The Army Story
The sporting goods store gets a delivery truck but Buster needs a drivers license. Unknown to him, they changed the DMV office to an army recruiting office so when he thinks hes registering for a drivers license, hes registering for the army. Buster definitely doesnt fit into the army life and he spends all his time trying to register for his drivers license
T01:C05 - S01:E05 - The Collapsible Clerk
This is the pilot episode. Starts in the sporting goods store and provides Buster an opportunity to display his physical prowess. He and a washed up boxer/co-worker inadvertently antagonize two pro wrestlers they wind up in a tag team match but the pros are no match for the creative insanity and wit of Buster!
T01:C06 - S01:E06 - The Western Story
Buster arrives home to babysit an annoying young boy dressed as a cowboy. Hells stories about the terrible James Boys, how he plays poker with them, gets into a gun fight and prevails over all 4 of them and how he actually gets the beautiful girl!
T01:C07 - S01:E07 - The Detective Story
Business must be slow at the sporting good store a Buster is reading a private eyes story and eating graham crackersand dog biscuits? He pursues his dream of becoming as private eye and in his usual fashion, hes somewhat less that competent, encountering a variety of increasingly odd characters in his search for the Yellow Canary Café
T01:C08 - S01:E08 - February 23, 1950
Busters preparing for a boxing match and needs to get in shape: he runs, jumps rope but is he ready for the NBA? Rocky is a professional boxset with a statuesque wife that hes insanely jealous of and he catches Buster in an innocently compromising position. This doesnt bode well for Boster in the ring.
T01:C09 - S01:E09 - February 2, 1950
Buster and wife spend New Years Eve in the big city but how do two people prepare for a night on the town when you have a bellman constantly entering your room with his hand out for tips, tipsy people wandering into your room, maids vacuuming while youre trying to dress and the difficulties of getting last minute reservations
