Following Paul’s ‘bribe’, Mishti is convinced that he must have something to hide about the Lassiters hotel check-in glitch and sets out to find answers – questioning both Brandon at reception and Sheila. When Leo gets wind of Mishti’s continued inquiry, he struggles with feeling his loyalty being pulled in two directions, and following some advice from Amy, tells Paul that he’s not prepared to tell Mishti to back off. When Mishti discovers a complaint has been made and she is ordered off asking any questions, she immediately guesses Paul as the culprit and confronts him. Paul pleads his innocence, and Leo surprises both of them when he backs his father, leaving Mishti hurt about his lack of support. Mishti later discovers that Sheila is actually the one responsible for the complaint, and the pair reconnect, recognizing that while a child of Paul Robinson dating a cop may not always mean smooth sailing, Leo thinks they’ll make it work – because he loves her. Mishti says it back. It’s the first time they’ve exchanged the words. Their relationship continues to deepen...
