In the series premiere of this compelling reimagining of the landmark miniseries about the world's first encounter with an alien race, the Visitors ¿ or V's ¿ are initially viewed with fear, but they quickly become a fascination. For Tyler (series star LOGAN HUFFMAN), a teenage boy, they are his ticket to being a part of something big, something that offers hope, and when he meets Lisa (series star LAURA VANDERVOORT), an alluring Visitor, she encourages these thoughts. To Chad (series star SCOTT WOLF), a career-hungry news anchor, his exclusive interviews with Anna (series star MORENA BACCARIN), the leader of the V's, are crucial to his dominating the airwaves. Father Jack (series star JOEL GRETSCH), a priest with questioning faith, is hesitant to believe in the righteousness of the Visitors and goes outside the church to search for the truth.

After quickly determining that they are both against the arrival of the Visitors, Erica and Father Jack find themselves being tracked by a "Seeker" from the V's. Meanwhile, Chad, who thinks he blew it for 80 million viewers with his exclusive first interview with Anna, looks to boost himself up, and he becomes more investigative in his next newscast. Plus, Erica is questioned about the whereabouts of her colleague, Dale Maddox (recurring guest star ALAN TUDYK - 3:10 to Yuma, I, Robot, Firefly, Serenity).

Chad reports from the Peace Ambassador Center as 100 diplomatic visas are being issued to the first wave of Visitors in the U.S. Anna will get the first, but not everyone agrees with the decision. Meanwhile, Erica, who is paired with a V officer, has started tracking a death threat, and Ryan begins reaching out to his old friends to build up opposition forces to help fight off the V's.

In this riveting cliffhanger, Erica works with newly formed allies to uncover a biological threat they suspect the Visitors have been plotting. Aboard the mothership, Anna meets with a special guest while managing the investigation into the murder of a V. And Chad begins a segment on the V Healing Centers, demonstrating their amazing medical abilities ¿ but soon finds himself conflicted by some of his findings.

As the story continues, Erica finds her life in danger when she's attacked at home, and, as the Visitors build up their defenses, a dangerous new member is recruited for the Resistance. Meanwhile, Anna wonders why Chad hasn't followed up on his diagnosed aneurysm, and Ryan's concern grows over Val's "abnormal" pregnancy. Recurring guest stars DAVID RICHMOND-PECK (Fringe, Robson Arms, Beyond Sherwood Forest) and ROARK CRITCHLOW (The Mentalist, Mending Fences, Afterworld) appear as Georgie and A.D. Paul Kendrick, respectively.

Anna introduces her pilot program to invite select groups of humans to stay on each of the 29 spaceships, and Ryan must deal with the fact that Valerie's pregnancy is wildly accelerated. Plus, Tyler learns a secret about his mom, Erica, and someone makes a sacrifice to save Ryan. Recurring guest star DAVID RICHMOND-PECK appears as Georgie.

Erica, Ryan and Jack go on a harrowing mission to find the legendary John May (guest star MICHAEL TRUCCO -- Battlestar Galactica) in order to rescue Georgie (recurring guest star David Richmond-Peck). Plus, Anna brings Chad aboard the Mothership to do a story on her Live Aboard Program, and Tyler confronts Erica about his mysterious past. And what of Ryan's past?

Chad and Anna go to Geneva, Switzerland, for the UN Energy Summit, where Anna is going to present a gift of technology to the world. Meanwhile, Erica learns that the V Task Force is investigating the Fifth Column, and Valerie goes on the run, knowing something is different about her baby and not sure she can trust Ryan. Recurring guest star ROARK CRITCHLOW (The Mentalist, Afterworld) appears as A.D. Paul Kendrick.

Erica, Father Jack and Kyle Hobbes (recurring guest star CHARLES MESURE -- Outrageous Fortune, Crossing Jordan, Street Legal) realize that the Vs know names and addresses of the Fifth Column members and must take drastic measures to protect them. Meanwhile, Ryan finally reveals to Val that he is a Visitor and Chad, with the camera rolling for "Prime Focus," begins the process aboard the Mothership's Medical Bay to have his aneurysm removed.

Erica, Ryan, Father Jack and Hobbes (recurring guest star CHARLES MESURE) learn Anna sent a shuttle filled with a deadly V tracker team to find them, and must figure out how to stop the shuttle from landing. Meanwhile, Anna gives Tyler his invitation to the Live Aboard Program, and Chad confronts Father Jack on what he knows about the Fifth Column.

After a violent attack on someone very close to Anna, she delivers a message that the V's don't feel safe and will be leaving. Anna also gives a list of possible Fifth Column members to Chad, hoping he'll investigate and help in finding them. Meanwhile, Erica and the team try to track down a scientist who may have created a weapon that the Visitors are afraid of.

In the season finale, as the V soldier is still on the hunt for Val, her water breaks and her baby with Ryan will soon be born. Meanwhile, Erica decides to go on the offensive and gets herself and Tyler invited up to the Mothership for a get-to-know-everyone-better dinner. But she has more than food on her mind -- she's really there to find Anna's soldiers and destroy them. And Chad, after Father Jack asks him to help get a message on the ship to Joshua (recurring guest star MARK HILDRETH -- The Tudors), discovers the awful truth -- that Anna has been using him.
