Filmmaker Kim Wolhuter, his wife Saskia and 2-year-old daughter, Kiki discover the diverse habitats in this region, regularly encountering its fascinating wildlife.

The relationships between Kim and each of the individual animals in the hyena clan continues to strengthen and grow in complexity the more they spend time together.

Although there is little to no mobile phone connection in the Sango conservancy, Saskia’s phone is vitally important to her, but purely for the camera functionality.

After watching Kim interacting with the hyenas, Kiki decides she’s had enough of watching and wants to burn off some energy and get her dance groove on!

Kiki has her first very special and tender encounter with the Hyena clan.

Kim has a very close encounter with a black rhino.

The hyena cubs are growing fast, and they follow in the adult’s footsteps by constantly seeking Kim out for scratches and cuddles.
