The lack of two equations needed to complete his work drives scientist Eric Plummer (Warren Stevens) to the brink of suicide. When an alien creature (Robert Webber) appears and offers the answers, Plummer readily accepts, but in return must surrender to the alien all of his emotions -- including love.
