T02:C06 - S02:E06 - 206: Sadie; Older Brother; Second Chance; Asleep at the Wheel

Sadie Michael suffered a massive heart attack while he was hunting quail in the woods behind his residence. He was almost a half-mile from home when he was stricken. Fortunately for him, he was not alone. Accompanying him were his two hunting dogs, Sadie and Goldie. Before Michael fell to the ground, he managed to clip SadieÍs collar to a leash hanging from his belt. Michael floated in and out of consciousness, while his forty-five-pound dog dragged his 180-pound body uphill inch by inch in bitter cold temperatures all the way home. Finally home, Michael was able to alert his wife Lisa who immediately called 9-1-1. Older Brother Thora always dreamed of having an older brother, especially growing up in a town of 500 people where she was the only girl in class with twenty-three boys. The boys made a game out of who could make her cry first. Then, one day Thora heard the voice of what she thought was her brother telling her that everything would be alright. From that point on she had a new found confidence, and that she could now face the bullies at school. Little did she know that, years later, her feelings about wanting an older brother would come true. Second Chance When Isaias developed a rash on his face, the doctors diagnosed it as eczema. The doctor gave him some face cream, and told him it would clear up shortly, but, the rash worsened and Isaias began to get physically weak. After going for a second opinion, the doctor concluded that Isaias had non-HodgkinÍs lymphoma, and Isaias needed to start chemotherapy immediately. When the treatment didnÍt work, the doctors told Isaias that his only hope was a bone-marrow transplant. Lucky for Isaias, his brother was a perfect match. After two weeks past, IsaiasÍ health seemed to improve allowing his wife to finally leave the hospital for a good nightÍs sleep. But, upon arriving home, Sylvia received a call from the hospital who told her that her husband had taken a turn for the worse, and was immediately put on life support. Two more weeks passed, and doctors finally suggested that Sylvia begin making final arrangements for her husband. It was time to take Isaias off life support. Sylvia listened as the humming of the machines stopped. And, what happened next was something that the doctors had no explanation for. Asleep at the Wheel One August evening Robin had a horrible feeling that something was terribly wrong. Her daughter, Kellie, was supposed to be home hours ago, and she had always been diligent about calling her mother is he knew she was going to be late. Throughout the night, Robin paced from one window to the other, hoping to finally see her daughterÍs car pulling into the driveway. By 1:10 am, Robin fell to her knees and began to pray- ñPlease God, donÍt let anything happen to her. Send an angel to sit closely beside her and bring her safely home.î Robin believes deep in her heart that her daughter has a guardian angel.
