Douglas Perry was obsessed with prostitutes; he craved their company, but he also hated them, and in 1990 he shot three sex workers dead. Years later a cold case review identified Douglas as the killer. By this time, Doug had become Donna- and she accepted no responsibility for his actions.

Boxer Shaun "the governor" Cummins was a big name in his hometown. When he was paralysed in an accident, Thomas Dunkley, an amateur fighter, became Shaun's friend and defacto carer. Shaun promised to make him rich, but when the payday never came, Dunkley took what he thought was rightfully his.

Politician Kathy Augustine met nurse Chaz Higgs at the bedside of her dying husband. After a whirlwind romance Kathy and Chaz were married, but the relationship soon soured. Chaz joked to workmates about committing the perfect murder - so when Kathy mysteriously died, detectives didn't have to look far for her killer.
