We explore the changing role of the Windsors’ relationship to the Commonwealth and the political upheaval in the world. Former colonies move to independence, often with violence.
S01:É03 - S01:E03 - The 70's - 80's
The world is in the grip of the Cold War and Elizabeth Initially visits a communist country, Yugoslavia in 1972. We also see the formation of a far more aggressive media presence.
S01:É04 - S01:E04 - 1990 to 2000 and Beyond
We reflect on the changing times and a remarkable century full of both great loss and celebration and the legacy of the Windsors that continues to stand the test of time.
