Back in Texas, Capt. Call organizes a mustang drive to Montana. He hires Gideon, a former Texas Ranger, to head the drive.
S01:E02 - The Forge
Gideon's mustang drive encounters problems. Agostina must fend off the unwanted advances of cowboys. Call makes his way to Clara's ranch, and then moves on to Montana.
S01:E03 - The Legacy
Clara's ranch meets a fiery fate, and she decides to join Gideon. Call has the misfortune to meet up with the desperado Cherokee Jack. Dunnegan tells Newt of his inheritance plans.
S01:E04 - The Passing
A range war is erupting in Montana, and Call and Dunnegan meet alone to settle their differences. Cherokee Jack is running amok. Call tells Newt about their true relationship.
