Saving Hope

Just two days back from maternity leave Alex is given the privilege of assisting renowned surgeon Dr. Clara Levine. But when Alex begins to question Dr. Levine’s surgical decision she quickly finds her self on the wrong side of the operating table, booted in favour of the ever-charming and ever-tactful Dr. Patrick Curtis. The situation comes to a head when the patient begins to bleed out and Alex is forced to go behind Dr. Levine’s back to save the patient, and deal with the consequences later. In the ward, after seven surgeries on a leg that is showing zero improvement, Charlie is given the unenviable task of convincing his blue-collar patient that - in the face of spiraling self-medication and the very real possibility of lifetime of pain - sometimes we can only move forward when we give up what’s holding us back. Meanwhile, when an alcoholic Advertising Executive wanders in off the street with a head wound, Maggie, weighing the very real possibility of leaving Hope Zion, does everything in her power to put her in detox in the hopes of making things right.
