Saving Hope

Worried about the lack of family in Luke’s life, Alex gets more than she bargained for when Kyle Sawyer, the man responsible for her deceased brother’s drug problem, is admitted to Hope Zion with a life or death stomach complication. Unable to be objective she quickly gives away the surgery. But when the emergency distal pancreatectomy proves too much to handle for just one surgeon, Alex must struggle to save the life of the man who ruined her brother’s. Meanwhile, when the victim of a horrific “acid attack” is rushed to surgery, Cassie struggles to remain objective, putting the life of her patient at risk. Dana must teach the young surgeon to put aside her own feelings and focus on the medicine in order to save their patient’s life. In the ER, Zach, still reeling from Joel’s death, must get a patient suffering from self-imposed psycho-paralysis to confront her past if she is to regain the use of her legs.
