Byron gets a sneak peek at what life would be like with each of the final three women as Mary, Tanya and Cynthia "Cindy" invite him to their homes, where he gets an inside look at their lifestyles. First, Mary takes Byron home to Tampa, Florida, where they play softball and spend time with her married friends. For the first time, the Bachelor meets an ex-boyfriend of one of the ladies: The husband of one of her friends is Mary's "ex." Over dinner at her place, Mary tells Byron that because of her painful experience with Bachelor Bob, she may not be willing to introduce Byron to her parents, even if he offers her a rose. Next, Tanya and Byron travel west, drinking beer and bull riding with her friends in Plano, Texas. Although she reassures him of her strong feelings for him, Tanya explains to Byron that he will not be getting the chance to meet her father--a highlight of becoming one of the final two women--should Tanya make it to the next rose ceremony. Finally, when Cindy takes Byron for drinks on the beach and to meet her friends in Hermosa Beach, California, Byron gets a strong warning from her male friends not to hurt Cindy. At dinner, Cindy confronts Byron, cautioning him not to pick her unless he is truly serious about her. As the stakes get higher, Byron narrows the field to the final two women.
