Tavarish
S01:E01 - Flooded
S01:É01 - S01:E01 - Flooded
Tavarish risks everything on a flooded $2M McLaren P1. From the first key press to the first look inside, the damage is worse than anyone expected. Watch the crew fight seized brakes, flat tires, and inches of clearance to get the hypercar onto a trailer and into the shop.
S01:É02 - S01:E02 - Under the Hood
Today we finally open the flooded McLaren P1 and find out what’s really wrong. Sand, broken glass, and saltwater are everywhere but the deeper we go, the more surprises we find. A risky look at the fuse box, a scary battery moment, and a huge win hiding in the connectors.
S01:É03 - S01:E03 - Moment of Truth
The moment of truth: is the flooded McLaren P1 engine actually alive? We borescope the intake and cylinders, pull spark plugs, and discover water, slime, and salt in places it should never be then drain the oil and turn the crank by hand. When it finally moves, the P1 “rains” Marvel Mystery Oil… and the crosshatch still looks shockingly clean.
S01:É04 - S01:E04 - Dry Ice
The P1 finally gets the treatment it deserves: dry ice blasting. After patching a tire, we haul the flood car to the lab and watch years of grime, sand, and salt vanish in seconds no water, no mess down the drain. Then reality hits: corrosion, a dented fuel tank, a damaged oil tank… and the most intense job yet removing the $160k hybrid battery without getting zapped.
S01:É05 - S01:E05 - The Parts Bill
We strip the P1 even further glass out, interior out, sand everywhere then tow the “soggy McNugget” to McLaren Orlando to get a real dealership assessment. The tech confirms the scary bits: a corroded harness, seized turbos, possible hybrid drive leaks… and then the estimate drops. Parts only. No labor. The number is so high it changes the entire rebuild strategy.
S01:É06 - S01:E06 - Saving a McLaren
Saltwater, sand, and corrosion have invaded a McLaren P1 and now the teardown begins. Watch the front clamshell come off bolt-by-bolt, shims and all, revealing what the storm really destroyed. With OEM prices in the stratosphere, Tavarish bets on alternative parts and pure determination to keep this P1 alive.
S01:É07 - S01:E07 - Engine Drop
A flooded $2M McLaren P1 hits the lift and almost tips. With ratchet straps, rusted bolts, and beach sand hiding everywhere, Tavarish tears down the rear to drop the entire engine, transmission, and hybrid drive assembly. By midnight, the P1’s heart finally comes out… and the turbos reveal salt crystals, seized internals, and hard truths.
S01:É08 - S01:E08 - EVO
A flooded McLaren P1 is now a “broken Transformer”… and the rebuild just leveled up. With water still hiding inside the carbon tub, Tavarish brings in the Frame Doctor to cut out damaged carbon and rebuild the structure McLaren would write off. Then the bombshell: a full carbon P1 Evo body GTR-inspired, wider, symmetrical weave, and built to keep the stock active wing.
S01:É09 - S01:E09 - Revival
The flooded McLaren P1 finally starts looking like a car again. After a Goodwood inspiration trip, Tavarish unboxes the all-carbon P1 Evo body and test-fits a GTR-style clamshell over the road-car splitter OEM+ perfection. Then it’s back to reality at Cannonball Garage: sand still inside the engine, ugly cylinder head damage, scored bearings, and corroded liners. Time to build it better.
S01:É10 - S01:E10 - Battery Hack
The P1 Evo build hits a crossroads: cut up a $130k rear clamshell to transplant the OEM carbon “skeleton,” or risk endless fitment hell. With SEMA looming, the plan changes, exposed engine bay it is. Then comes the scariest mystery: the flooded, fire-damaged $160k hybrid battery. At Electrified Garage, they crack it open, find A123 cells, and discover the shocking truth about what it costs to rebuild.
