Garry's coaching techniques come under fire because of the extreme training regime he's putting the kids through. Adam seems to be the most affected and as the exercises get harder, his tolerance deserts him. He finally snaps when Bec and Garry prepare an orienteering bush-walk with a time limit. The group is divided into pairs and not only does everyone have to participate, but if they fail then their partner fails too. To make matters worse, they're walking for points - and on a scorching hot day and carrying packs weighing 15 kilos!. Angrily, Adam sets off with Cassie in a race against the clock. It's a long and grinding hike through rough country. At the last moment Cassie and Adam strike serious trouble but eventually they and everyone else stagger across the line. Back at the house, Adam loses his temper with Garry and Bec - criticizing them severely for imposing such a crazy training routine on the kids. It's then that he finds out the real reasons behind the program and the fact that it wasn't as stupid as he thought.
