Secret Eaters
S02: E01 - Ray and Ange
Télé-réalité · Mode de vie · Documentaire
Britain has a big, fat problem. Only America is getting fatter than we are faster than we are.
Though a nation obsessed with our waistlines, for many people huge weight gain is a complete mystery. How are we putting weight on when we’re convinced we live on salad and sparkling water? This series proves just how many of us are in denial about what we eat and hide the extent of our eating from our families and ourselves. For many there is a huge gap between the muesli we admit to and the chicken tikka we eat when the lights are down.
Secret Eaters is back for a second series. Presented by Anna Richardson, the show goes undercover across the UK to find out the truth about how much families really eat. Each week one household - couples, friends or siblings – are put under 24-hour surveillance to discover if they are Secret Eaters.
Using fixed cameras installed inside their home and Private Investigators to track them outside of it; at work, rest or play our cameras will be watching.
All the evidence will be revealed in the Secret Eaters’ Incident Room. Here, each couple will be confronted with the shocking reality of their diet because if you want to lose weight, you really need to know the truth about how you’re putting it on.
This week, lovebirds Ray and Ange from Bolton are in the spotlight. Both are desperate to lose weight but convinced they eat healthily. Ray’s infamous “pie butty” and belly buster breakfasts suggest otherwise. Once they learn the shocking truth of what they’re really eating, will they be able to stick to a healthy eating plan; win their battle of the bulge and get their wedding back on track?
Plus, when it comes to eating, once we pop most of us can’t stop, so our secret cameras won’t just be concentrating on Ray and Ange’s dietary downfalls, we’ll also be laying mischievous and tasty traps for the public to prove just how easy it is for us ALL to succumb to secret eating.
