My Kitchen Rules UK
S03: E21 - Episode 21
Télé-réalité
Michelin starred chef, Glynn Purnell, and ‘Queen of Irish cookery’ Rachel Allen present a new series of My Kitchen Rules UK. They will be judging 20 pairs of enterprising and inspired amateur cooks from all over the UK who open their own home restaurant for one ambitious night, in a bid to scoop the £10,000 prize and the right to say, ‘My Kitchen Rules.’
My Kitchen Rules UK is about real people with a real passion for food. Each week, five teams of two from the North, South, Midlands/Wales & Scotland cook a three-course restaurant standard meal against the clock for their rival teams and the judges to critique and score.
The strongest teams from each region go through to the MKR Mansion where, each day, a different Guest Judge will reveal a mystery ingredient from which the team has to create an outstanding main course, followed by a delicious dessert. With just 30 minutes to decide on their menu, this challenge will really show who’s got what it takes to get through to the MKR Headquarters and the final rounds of the competition.
In the first day of the Mansion Round, Sheffield friends and in-laws, Yee Kwan and Natalie are challenged by culinary legend, Pierre Koffmann, one of the few chefs to have been awarded three Michelin stars. His mystery ingredient is Rabbit and the girls choose to cook a traditional French dish of Braised Rabbit in Cider, with Pommes Puree and Carrots followed by an Asian Pear & Plum Crumble with Ginger Ice Cream. Will their menu meet the exacting standards of Chef Koffmann and impress Glynn, Rachel, and their fellow contestants?
