On July 8, 1947, the Roswell Army Air Field in New Mexico issued a press release stating that base personnel had recovered a crashed "flying disc" from a nearby ranch. Later that day, the Commanding General of the Eighth Air Force recanted the earlier announcement. Could this be the most shocking government cover-up of the 20th century? On December 9, 1965, hundreds of witnesses saw an object crash in the woods near the small Pennsylvania town of Kecksburg. The military recovered the object saying it was a meteor and took it to an Air Force base. Local residents who saw the object up close disagree saying it was copper colored, acorn shaped and there was strange writing on the object. What really crashed at Kecksburg?
