18-year-old Anna Gibson becomes a Bride of Christ. As Sister Gabriel, she will join an order of nuns who will wear the medieval veil and habit and live disciplined lives.

Anna takes care of the daily demands of Lynn's life. We see her coming to terms with an alien world and trying to remember everything her father taught her about running a mill.

Miserable Sister Dominic returns from the hospital to find that Anna is still away. Meanwhile, Hal accompanies Anna to a wool auction to buy a suitable stock for traditional yarns.
