Anne Hathaway Is Everywhere in 2026, So We’re Revisiting Her Earlier Movies on Tubi

Anne Hathaway has played just about everyone, and Tubi has the movies and documentary episodes to prove it.

Princess of Genovia. Fashion magazine survivor. Oscar winner. Anne Hathaway has been collecting iconic roles for decades, but 2026? She's practically running Hollywood's entire casting department. At this point, we're beginning to wonder whether there's a second Anne Hathaway somewhere handling half her filming schedule.

Between slipping back into Andy Sachs' designer shoes for The Devil Wears Prada 2, joining Christopher Nolan's epic The Odyssey, and taking a darker turn in the Colleen Hoover adaptation Verity (which we further explored in our Verity red flag article), Hathaway has spent the year reminding everyone just how versatile she can be. Romantic comedies, psychological thrillers, historical epics, and high-fashion drama are all on the résumé. Pick a genre. Chances are Anne has already made herself at home.

Her latest Hollywood takeover also makes this the perfect excuse to revisit a few of her earlier performances. Tubi has several Anne Hathaway movies that show off different sides of her career, along with documentary-style episodes exploring her journey through Hollywood. Her fairy-tale era is particularly worth revisiting, with Comforting Classics bringing a little early-2000s nostalgia into the mix. One very enchanted throwback is ready to lead the way.

Ella Enchanted

Being a princess sounds like a dream until someone decides your greatest gift should be doing absolutely everything you're told. Yeah, we're going to need to speak to management about that one.

Cursed with the so-called gift of obedience, Ella can't refuse any command she's given in Ella Enchanted. Her search for a way to reclaim control over her own life sends her into a magical adventure filled with ogres, giants, royal intrigue, and one very charming prince, played by Hugh Dancy.

Hathaway brings an infectious charm to Ella, balancing the character's determination with playful comedy and genuine vulnerability. It's the kind of performance that makes you want to root for her even when the odds are stacked against her. Plus, watching a young Anne Hathaway navigate a fantasy kingdom is pretty much a rite of passage for anyone who grew up on 2000s movies. The nostalgia is doing its job.

Serenity

A tropical island, a mysterious ex-wife, and a fishing boat captain with a complicated past. Paradise? Not quite.

Karen Zariakas comes crashing back into her ex-husband's life with a request capable of changing everything in Serenity. Matthew McConaughey plays fishing boat captain Baker Dill, whose seemingly quiet existence begins unraveling once Hathaway's Karen pulls him toward a dangerous situation. The deeper he gets, the harder it becomes to separate reality from something far stranger.

Hathaway trades her usual warmth for an enigmatic, emotionally guarded performance that keeps viewers questioning Karen's intentions. Her chemistry with McConaughey adds another layer of tension to a film that has absolutely no interest in playing by the usual thriller rules. Just when you think you've figured out what's happening, the movie has other plans.

Song One

Anne Hathaway can do quiet heartbreak just as well as glamorous chaos.

Returning home after her brother is seriously injured forces Franny to reconnect with a life she's been removed from in Song One. She starts retracing his world through the music, places, and experiences he loved, eventually forming an unexpected connection with one of his favorite musicians.

She delivers a softer, more introspective performance, allowing Franny's grief, guilt, and longing to emerge through small, intimate moments. There's a tenderness to the character that feels worlds away from the larger-than-life personalities Hathaway often plays, making Song One a reminder that her most affecting performances don't always need a grand entrance.

Don Peyote

Existential crises are stressful enough without adding a wildly unpredictable psychedelic adventure to the equation. But nobody told that to the people behind Don Peyote.

Dan Fogler takes center stage as Warren Allman, whose anxiety about his upcoming wedding sends him spiraling through conspiracy theories, strange encounters, and increasingly surreal experiences in Don Peyote. Hathaway pops up among the film's eclectic ensemble, adding a particularly unexpected credit to her already genre-hopping filmography.

While her role is much smaller than the others on this list, the film offers a glimpse at Hathaway's willingness to participate in unconventional projects that don't fit neatly into her usual leading-lady image. It's weird, unpredictable, and certainly not the first movie that comes to mind when someone mentions Anne Hathaway. Which makes it all the more interesting.

Hot in Hollywood

Hollywood careers rarely follow a straight line, and Hathaway's journey from early breakout roles to award-winning performances has certainly covered some interesting territory.

A career retrospective rather than another Hathaway performance, Hot in Hollywood traces the paths some of entertainment's biggest names took to fame and success. Season 1, Episode 7 puts Hathaway alongside Dwayne Johnson and Issa Rae, offering a look at three entertainers who carved out very different places for themselves in Hollywood.

It's a fitting addition to an Anne Hathaway marathon, especially when her 2026 success has everyone revisiting just how much she's accomplished. The fictional characters may change, but the woman behind them has been keeping audiences entertained for more than two decades.

Superstars

Want to see how Hollywood was talking about Anne Hathaway long before her latest takeover? Time for a little trip back to 2008.

Long before her current run, Hathaway appeared alongside Michelle Williams, Samantha Morton, Laura Linney, and Christina Ricci in Season 1, Episode 19 of Superstars. The celebrity biography series looks back at the careers and public profiles of major entertainers, making this episode something of a time capsule for a generation of actresses finding their place in Hollywood.

Back in 2008, Hathaway was still building the career that would eventually include an Academy Award, major blockbusters, and an impressive range of dramatic performances. Revisiting that earlier chapter now offers a fun reminder of just how far her Hollywood journey has taken her.
