Down Bad, Scared Worse in 8 Whorrified Movies on Tubi

Your type has red flags, your survival instincts have concerns, and Tubi has eight movies for the feeling in between.

You know the feeling. Someone walks into the room and your brain immediately clocks the red flags. Your taste, unfortunately, would like a second opinion.

Tubi has a word for this particular lapse in judgment: Whorrified. Horny meets horrified, attraction says “hear me out,” and every functioning survival instinct starts drafting its resignation letter.

Pop culture has been feeding this particular problem extremely well lately. Verity put dangerous attraction, obsession, and secrets back on the big screen, the exact combination of questionable behavior we explored in our BookTok red flags watchlist. Sometimes the person pulling you closer should probably be the reason you're backing toward the nearest exit. No judgment here. Bad decisions make excellent movies.

Tubi's Find Any Feeling for Free campaign has turned that emotional confusion into a whole category, and the Hot & Whorrified collection has plenty of ways to experience it from a safe distance. Voyeurism gets messy. Love spells refuse to respect boundaries. Vampires remain suspiciously attractive despite centuries of evidence against trusting them. Terror on Tubi has a lot more bad decisions waiting once you've survived this particular dating pool.

Eight movies. Several questionable crushes. Proceed accordingly.

The Voyeurs

Watching the neighbors once is curiosity. Building your evening around it is where we start having concerns.

Sydney Sweeney and Justice Smith play Pippa and Thomas, a young couple whose new apartment comes with an unobstructed view into the extremely intimate life of the couple across the street in The Voyeurs. Looking becomes fascination, fascination becomes involvement, and suddenly the strangers in the window are occupying more space in their relationship than strangers generally should.

Whorrified thrives in the gap between knowing something is a bad idea and wanting to look anyway. Pippa's attraction to what she's observing keeps pulling her past boundaries that initially seemed obvious, while the movie steadily complicates who is watching whom. Close the blinds. Actually, everybody close the blinds.

X

Making an adult film at an isolated Texas farmhouse already sounds like the beginning of a horror movie. Because it is.

Ti West's X brings a young film crew to rural Texas in 1979, where Maxine and her collaborators hope to make the movie that launches them toward something bigger. Their elderly hosts don't know exactly what their guests are filming on the property, but let’s just say they find out soon enough.

Mia Goth's Maxine is determined to become a star, while the movie surrounds her ambition with sex, repression, aging, jealousy, and violence. Desire isn't simply there to get characters naked before the slasher arrives. West makes the wanting itself dangerous: to be desired, to stay young, to be seen, to have the life somebody else possesses. All of it feeds what eventually turns the farmhouse bloody.

The Love Witch

Elaine knows exactly what she wants. Love. Preferably immediately.

In The Love Witch, writer-director Anna Biller introduces a modern witch whose spells are designed to make men fall hopelessly in love with her. Elaine has the Technicolor wardrobe, romantic fantasy, and magical skill set required to manufacture desire. What she doesn't have is much patience for reality failing to match the fantasy.

Samantha Robinson plays Elaine with such complete commitment to her idea of romance that the gap between love and obsession starts becoming dangerously small. Men aren't simply people she meets; they're potential pieces of the perfect relationship she's already imagined. Manifesting your dream partner is cute. Magically removing their free will feels like a terms-of-service violation.

The Untamed

Desire arrives in The Untamed wearing a very unusual face. Actually, maybe don't ask to see the face yet.

Amat Escalante's Mexican sci-fi horror drama follows Alejandra and Ángel, a married couple whose troubled relationship intersects with the arrival of the mysterious Verónica. She knows about something hidden in an isolated cabin, something capable of offering pleasure unlike anything its visitors have experienced before.

The creature at the center of the story makes desire physical, strange, and difficult to separate from danger. Attraction doesn't need to be romantic here. It can be compulsive. Secretive. Something people return to even after understanding exactly how badly it can hurt them. Whorrified said “hear me out.” The Untamed took that as a challenge.

Under the Skin

A beautiful stranger invites you into her van. Horror audiences, we've trained for this.

Scarlett Johansson moves through Scotland looking for isolated men in Under the Skin, playing an alien whose human appearance makes seduction an extraordinarily effective hunting strategy. The men she approaches see an attractive woman showing interest. The audience gets enough distance to understand they're being selected rather than courted.

Jonathan Glazer makes that imbalance deeply uncomfortable. Attraction works because the victims think they understand the situation they're entering, while the person across from them is operating according to an entirely different set of rules. Sometimes the red flag isn't metaphorical. It's the mysterious black void you're walking into behind the gorgeous stranger.

Sanctuary

No vampires. No aliens. No monsters hiding under the bed. Margaret Qualley and Christopher Abbott are perfectly capable of making things complicated themselves.

Sanctuary confines much of its story to a hotel room where wealthy heir Hal meets Rebecca, the dominatrix he's been seeing privately. What initially appears to be another carefully structured encounter begins changing once Hal reveals that his circumstances and their arrangement are about to change. From there, intimacy becomes negotiation.

Power keeps moving between them as performance, manipulation, attraction, resentment, and genuine feeling become harder to separate. Rebecca and Hal know each other's vulnerabilities well enough to weaponize them, which means figuring out who has control at any given moment becomes part of the fun. Whorrified doesn't always need a body count. Emotional damage is perfectly capable of clocking in instead.

Your Monster

Heartbreak is bad. Discovering a monster living in your closet should technically be worse. Your Monster isn't interested in respecting that ranking.

Melissa Barrera plays Laura, an actress recovering from a breakup and a cancer diagnosis when she discovers an actual Monster living in her childhood home. Their relationship begins with hostility before taking a turn that anyone familiar with monster-romance fandom may already see coming. Monster, played by Tommy Dewey, is rude, furry, temperamental, and somehow still making a stronger case for himself than Laura's very human ex.

The horror-comedy gives Whorrified one of its sweeter interpretations by asking what happens when the frightening-looking option treats you better than the supposedly normal one. Laura's growing confidence and rage become as important as the unconventional romance developing beside them. Hear me out culture, your representative has arrived.

Kiss of the Damned

Djuna has already learned one of vampire fiction's most important lessons. Falling for a human creates paperwork.

Josephine de La Baume stars as the vampire opposite Milo Ventimiglia's human screenwriter Paolo in Kiss of the Damned, where mutual attraction quickly runs into the fairly substantial issue of one person requiring blood to survive. Djuna initially tries to keep her distance. Paolo makes the deeply horror-movie decision to remain interested after learning exactly what she is. Honestly? At least he has all the information.

Their romance gives the movie its seductive center, but another vampire's arrival threatens the controlled existence Djuna has built. Suddenly eternal romance has to coexist with appetite, temptation, and the reminder that not every vampire shares the same interest in restraint. Being down bad for a vampire is a classic. Being surprised when vampire problems follow is on you.
