The Odds Are Looking Pretty Good With All 5 Hunger Games Movies on Tubi

Revisit all five Hunger Games movies streaming free on Tubi ahead of the franchise's next chapter.

Welcome back to Panem, where the fashion is outrageous, the government is deeply concerning, and volunteering for anything is generally a terrible idea. The Capitol has spent years convincing its citizens that watching teenagers fight for survival counts as entertainment. Meanwhile, audiences have spent years debating alliances, choosing favorite tributes, and wondering how anyone manages to survive a conversation with President Snow.

Haymitch Abernathy has spent four movies dispensing questionable advice, delivering perfectly timed sarcasm, and making it very clear that mentoring tributes isn't his dream job. Now, audiences are finally getting a closer look at the man behind the attitude. The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping arrives in theaters November 20, taking audiences to the 50th Hunger Games and a younger Haymitch, long before he became Katniss and Peeta's reluctant mentor. With Joseph Zada stepping into the role, the upcoming prequel will finally put one of the franchise's most complicated survivors at the center of his own story.

Panem might be a fictional nightmare, but getting invested in its characters is practically unavoidable. All five movies are now streaming free on Tubi, with the complete lineup featured in the Franchise Fever collection. Whether you're returning for the Quarter Quell, revisiting Katniss's most unforgettable moments, or catching up on the franchise's complicated history, there's no shortage of reasons to make another trip to Panem.

One viewing recommendation: follow the movies in release order. The prequel may take place decades earlier, but the original films make its connections and revelations even more rewarding (spoilers for all five Hunger Games movies are ahead).

The Hunger Games

Katniss Everdeen wasn't planning to become the face of a revolution. She was just trying to keep her little sister alive. Unfortunately, Panem has a habit of turning personal decisions into national emergencies.

When sixteen-year-old Katniss volunteers to take her sister Prim's place in the annual Hunger Games, she enters a deadly competition where 24 tributes must fight until only one remains. The Hunger Games introduces audiences to District 12, the extravagant Capitol, and a society where survival is treated like prime-time entertainment. Jennifer Lawrence gives Katniss a fierce determination as she navigates the arena alongside fellow tribute Peeta Mellark, portrayed by Josh Hutcherson. Their relationship becomes an unexpected complication in a competition designed to leave no room for sentiment.

The Capitol's obsession with appearances means even the tributes need to look camera-ready, a responsibility Elizabeth Banks' flamboyant Effie Trinket takes very seriously. Woody Harrelson's Haymitch, meanwhile, has a much less glamorous understanding of what it takes to survive. Their contrasting personalities make Katniss's introduction to the Games especially entertaining, even as she discovers that following the rules isn't always her strongest instinct. The Girl on Fire has entered the arena. Panem will never be quite the same.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire

Winning the Hunger Games is supposed to guarantee a lifetime of safety and luxury. Katniss and Peeta are about to discover that the Capitol's promises come with some very inconvenient fine print.

Victory has made Katniss a national celebrity in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, but her defiance in the arena has also inspired unrest across the districts. President Snow, portrayed by Donald Sutherland, isn't particularly pleased with her growing influence. When the Capitol announces a special Quarter Quell that threatens to send former victors back into the arena, Katniss and Peeta discover just how little freedom winning has actually earned them.

The Quarter Quell introduces a different kind of competition, where the returning victors know the Games well enough to recognize when something isn't right. Among them are sharp-tongued Johanna Mason and the charming Finnick Odair, whose personalities make their intentions difficult to read. Throw in an arena full of deadly surprises, and even the most experienced tributes have reason to question whom they can trust. The Capitol wanted another spectacle. It may have underestimated its leading lady.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1

Katniss has survived two trips to the arena. Now everyone wants her to become the face of a revolution, preferably with a carefully prepared speech and a camera crew standing by.

The rebellion takes center stage in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1, where Katniss finds herself in District 13 as rebel leaders attempt to turn her into the Mockingjay, a symbol of resistance against the Capitol. With Peeta still in enemy hands, she's caught between the pressure to inspire a nation and the personal cost of everything she's already lost.

Katniss has never been comfortable performing on command, which makes her new role as the rebellion's public face especially complicated. Julianne Moore brings a controlled authority to President Coin, while Philip Seymour Hoffman gives Plutarch Heavensbee the confidence of someone who knows exactly how to sell a revolution. Their carefully planned campaign works best when Katniss forgets about the cameras and speaks from the heart, creating moments that no publicity team could've manufactured. The Capitol has spent years controlling the narrative. The Mockingjay is about to give it some competition.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2

The arena may be gone, but Panem has found a way to make the entire Capitol feel like one. President Snow really doesn't know when to stop making things worse.

War reaches its final stages in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2, as Katniss joins a specialized military squad on a mission through the Capitol. Their objective brings them closer to Snow, but the city's streets have been transformed into a deadly obstacle course filled with traps designed by the Gamemakers. Familiar allies return, loyalties are tested, and Katniss must confront the consequences of a conflict that has grown far beyond her original act of defiance.

After four movies of rooting for these characters, watching them navigate the Capitol's deadly streets feels a little too personal. Every corner could hide another trap, and every close call is a reminder of just how much they've already survived. Katniss and Peeta's complicated relationship adds another emotional layer, especially as they try to find their way back to each other amid the chaos. And when the final decisions arrive, Katniss discovers that surviving the war may be easier than deciding whom to trust with Panem's future.

The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes

Every great villain has a history. President Snow's just happens to involve a very questionable relationship with the concept of fairness.

Rather than continuing Katniss's story, The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes rewinds Panem's history to the 10th annual Hunger Games. The Capitol is still refining its deadly competition, and a young Coriolanus Snow is assigned to mentor District 12 tribute Lucy Gray Baird. Tom Blyth and Rachel Zegler bring two very different perspectives to a partnership complicated by ambition, survival, and a competition where the rules are still being written.

Watching the prequel after the original four films turns familiar details into little discoveries. Names, symbols, and traditions take on new meaning, while the early Games reveal just how different Panem once looked. Lucy Gray's music adds another memorable connection to the franchise's history, giving fans something new to appreciate when revisiting the later movies.

Snow's future may already be written, but the world around him still has secrets worth uncovering. Our closer look at The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes explores the characters and performances behind this earlier chapter of Panem's history.
