The mission of dog rescue knows no bounds, whether by plane, bus, or four legs. No trek is too long when it means bringing these dogs to their forever families.

Rescue dogs save lives too! Shelter dogs train for search and rescue, at-risk teens bond with dogs in New York, and a dog gives back to the woman who saved her in Oklahoma.

In Arkansas, dogs are rescued from overcrowded shelters. In New York, a shelter volunteer saves 20 fighting dogs. A blind dog is taught to navigate in Oklahoma.

In San Antonio, animal care officers are heroes. In Dallas, Ruby proves old dogs can learn new tricks. In Pennsylvania, inmates train rescue dogs, giving both second chances.
