WING-NIN blames KA-YEUNG for not telling them the truth earlier, whereas YUEN-KAM worries that her son might be put in jail after killing someone. And WING-CHEUNG adds that the villagers will think their acts amount to condoning their son's crime. SIU-KWAN and her daughter are beaten up when trying to bury CHO-YIU in the mountain. KWOK-LEUNG drives them away and gives them fifty dollars for settling down, leaving the false impression that it's POON's family who ordered the attack. WING-CHEUNG sees the new jade pendant bought by KWOK-LEUNG, so he reprimands him for it. For fear of the incurring gossips, BING-BING knows perfectly well that she cannot stay in the silk factory anymore, so she decides to go back to the clinic and be a bonesetter again. As LAI-KUEN is unable to pay off her debt, Uncle TIN wants to sell her to Ying Heung Lau to be a prostitute. Fortunately, BING-BING gives her a hand, getting her out of trouble. Having gradually recovered from his illness, KA-SING recalls that the late HAU-YEE wanted him to learn how to do the bookkeeping, so he tries to find an accountant book to learn the skill. With KA-YEUNG suspecting that WING-CHEUNG and KWOK-LEUNG are involved in corruption, WING-CHEUNG intends to arrange KWOK-LEUNG to hide in Foshan temporarily. He makes excuses that Wing Tai Lung is going to buy some land in Foshan for the establishment of a new factory, so WING-NIN agrees to let him follow the matter. Meanwhile, WING-NIN mentions again that he would like KA-YEUNG to be the one in-charge...
