S01:E13 - EPISODE 13: Sled Dog
The Contenders: Sled Dogs (Grand Portage, Minnesota) - Mitch Seavey and his lead dog, Dolphin, tackle a three-day, round-the-clock, sled-dog race in Northern Minnesota. The ‘musher’ Mitch is one of three generations of racing Seaveys – a family dynasty in this extreme and challenging sport. The race takes place in Chippewa country, where sled dogs have been a part of day-to-day life for centuries.
